Our Client a leading bank in Asia with a global network of more than 500 branches and offices in 19 countries and territories in Asia Pacific, Europe and North America, are looking for Consultants to be part of the project.
The Technology and Operations function is comprised of five teams of specialists with distinct capabilities: business partnership, technology, operations, risk governance, and planning support and services. They work closely together to harness the power of technology to support our physical and digital banking services and operations. This includes developing, centralising, and standardising technology systems as well as banking operations in Malaysia and overseas branches.
The client has more than 80 years of history in the banking industry and is expanding its footprint in Malaysia.
You will be working in a newly set-up technology centre located in Kuala Lumpur as part of Technology and Operations to deliver innovative financial technology solutions that enable business growth and technology transformation.
Responsibilities
Provide system analysis, design, and development support for CardLink or Vision Plus card processing platforms on mainframe environments.
Develop and maintain COBOL programs, JCL scripts, and CICS transactions on the z/OS system.
Work extensively with VSAM and sequential datasets for card transaction processing and data management.
Analyze requirements, troubleshoot issues, and optimize system performance.
Collaborate with business users, IT teams, and vendors for requirements gathering, issue resolution, and system enhancements.
Ensure compliance with banking and payment industry standards related to cards and payments.
Participate in design and review sessions, provide technical inputs for card system enhancements.
Provide documentation and knowledge transfer related to card processing applications and infrastructure.
Skills
Must have
Minimum 6 years of System Analyst experience on mainframe platforms.
Proven design and development experience with COBOL, JCL, and CICS.
Hands-on experience with CardLink or Vision Plus platforms or similar cards processing systems.
Must have good analytical skills.
Strong understanding of cards and payments domain.
Experience working with VSAM and sequential datasets.
Ability to engage with multiple stakeholders (users, IT departments, vendors) to deliver solutions.
