Our Client a leading bank in Asia with a global network of more than 500 branches and offices in 19 countries and territories in Asia Pacific, Europe, and North America, are looking for Consultants to be part of the project.
The Technology and Operations function is comprised of five teams of specialists with distinct capabilities: business partnership, technology, operations, risk governance and planning support and services. They work closely together to harness the power of technology to support our physical and digital banking services and operations. This includes developing, centralising and standardising technology systems as well as banking operations in Malaysia and overseas branches.
The client has more than 80 years of history in the banking industry and is expanding its footprint in Malaysia. You will be working in a newly set-up technology centre located in Kuala Lumpur as part of Technology and Operations to deliver innovative financial technology solutions that enable business growth and technology transformation.
Responsibilities
Develop, enhance, and maintain Mainframe-based card processing applications (Cardlink/VisionPlus).
Design and code using COBOL, CICS, JCL, and VSAM databases.
Integrate Mainframe applications with APIs and MQ for digital channel interfaces.
Work on CICS transactions with advanced expertise in performance tuning and debugging.
Understand and work with JSON and HTML data structures for API communication.
Create and manage batch jobs using Control-M scheduling tool.
Conduct unit testing, debugging, and ensure defect-free code migration through environments.
Collaborate with system analysts, testers, and other developers for smooth delivery.
Perform root cause analysis for production issues and provide L2-level support.
Ensure compliance with organizational coding and security standards.
Skills
Must have
3-5 years of experience in Mainframe Technologies: COBOL, CICS, JCL, VSAM
Platform/Product: Mainframe, Cardlink / VisionPlus
Operating System: z/OS
Advanced CICS expertise (design, debugging, and performance optimization)
Experience in API and MQ integration with mainframe systems
Knowledge of Control-M (job scheduling and monitoring)
Ability to understand JSON and HTML for API-related interfaces
Strong debugging, problem-solving, and production issue resolution skills
Integrity and accountability in work execution
