Our Client a leading bank in Asia with a global network of more than 500 branches and offices in 19 countries and territories in Asia Pacific, Europe, and North America, are looking for Software Engineers.
The Technology and Operations function is comprised of five teams of specialists with distinct capabilities: business partnership, technology, operations, risk governance, and planning support and services. They work closely together to harness the power of technology to support our physical and digital banking services and operations. This includes developing, centralising, and standardising technology systems as well as banking operations in Malaysia and overseas branches.
The client has more than 80 years of history in the banking industry and is expanding its footprint in Malaysia.
You will be working in a newly set-up technology centre located in Kuala Lumpur as part of Technology and Operations to deliver innovative financial technology solutions that enable business growth and technology transformation.
Responsibilities
Functional & System Testing
Perform functional and system testing for Murex applications across FO and/or BO modules
Validate system behaviour across:
Trade lifecycle
Pricing and P&L
Market data and trade booking
Test Design & Execution
Design, prepare, and execute:
Test scenarios
Test cases
Test scripts
Execute MXML-based testing, including:
Trade workflows
Lifecycle events
Downstream processing
End-to-End Validation
Validate complete trade flows including:
Trade capture and booking
Confirmations and settlements
Accounting and reconciliation (where applicable)
Defect Management
Identify, log, track, and retest defects using standard tools
Work closely with developers and analysts for issue resolution
Ensure defects are resolved before release
Testing Cycles & Reporting
Support:
SIT (System Integration Testing)
UAT (User Acceptance Testing)
Regression testing cycles
Prepare test status reports and provide updates to stakeholders
Collaboration & Quality Compliance
Collaborate with:
Developers
Business Analysts
Upstream/downstream teams
Ensure adherence to testing standards, processes, and quality guidelines
Skills
Must have
Around 5 years of experience in Murex Testing
Hands-on experience with:
Murex testing (MXML mandatory)
Functional and system testing
Exposure to Front Office and/or Back Office testing
Strong understanding of:
Trade lifecycle (Front-to-Back)
Financial instruments (FX, IRD, Equities, etc.)
Experience in:
Test case design and execution
Defect tracking and reporting
Basic knowledge of SQL (for data validation)
