We require an experienced Project Manager in Capital Markets responsible to work across our client base in Malaysia
Review and Monitor Projects
1) Review and manage end-to-end project implementation including project planning, risk management, quality control and implementation, vendor management, financial management, management of resource, collaboration and etc. This includes responsible for pending activities / items after project closure that is within the project scope e.g. payments and training.
2) Oversee deadlines, assigns responsibilities, and monitors progress of projects.
3) Prepare progress reports to key stakeholders on overall project updates, mitigation of risk / issue, project spending and budget, resource management, timeline and other related matters.
4) Provide advise on IT governance processes and guidelines and any IT / systems suggestios.
5) Manage business and technical problems and propose alternatives or solutions.
Cross Capabilities Management
1) Work closely with overall project team (not limited to Business Analyst, Developers, Testers, Infra and Delivery team) to deliver project that is within scope, budget and on time.
2) Develop project management methods, tools, standards and project execution processes to be used across the organisation for IT project implementation.
Project Planning
1) Prepare / develop project work plan, ensure it aligns with deliverables of project team (incl. vendor if applicable).
2) Provide advise and plan for testing, data migration, deployment and training based on technical and business dependencies.
3) Establish project team based on the project charter and conduct kick off meeting, PWC meeting and PSC meeting.
4) Manage, prepare, track and record all project related documents including changes, updates, minutes, approval and sign-off.
5) Collect metrics from Requirement Tracability Matrix (RTM) derived from Business Analyst and Defect Removal Effectiveness (DRE) from the reviewing of defects log under Testing for analysis and reporting.
6) To perform resource planning for support, development, projects and subject matter experts
7) Plan, manage and coordinate all IT and to project, plan and timeline related activitiy within interdepartments and vendors.
8) Plan, manage and coordinate technical related acitivity within inter-departments and vendors
9) Define the timeline, effort and key activites for the system changes and projects.
10) Provide input and review for the integration and conversion strategies.
11) Identify involvement of third party system(s) in UAT.
12) Capture risk and issue and maintain the risk and issue register.
Project Delivery
1) Manage and deliver projects within timeline, quality and within budget.
2) Regularly update management via established reporting templates and interval (eg. Monthly and yearly) for support, development and projects.
3) Provide timely updates and ensure proper management of business stakeholders / sponsor.
4) Ensure project risks are fully thought through and mitigated throughout the project delivery.
Project Management
1) Analyse and manage the impacts, interfaces and inter-dependencies of different projects.
2) Manage business and technical problems and propose alternatives or solutions.
3) Adheres to all applicable procedures, company policies and any other quality or regulatory requirements.
4) Stay abreast of new technologies including new project management techniques and tools.
Project Closure
1) Prepare project closure and document review form, project performance scorecard, vendor performance scorecard and performance appraisal.
2) Upload the endorsed project closure and document review form to centralised repository.
3) Coordinate review process on deliverables and obtain sign off (SoW (if vendor involved) BRD, FSD, Test Plan & Test cases).
Must have
8 or more years of Project Management experience with at least 6 years of investment banking industry experience.
Delivered medium and/or large scale projects from project inception through the entire project life cycle.
Nice to have
Technical/ Infrastructure projects related experiences will be added advantage.
Treasury/ Distribution/ Market Data/ Wholesales Bank relevant business experiences in systems such as Murex, FinIQ, Bloomberg, LSEG Data & Analytics (formerly Refinitiv) will be added advantage.
