Our Client a leading bank in Asia with a global network of more than 500 branches and offices in 19 countries and territories in Asia Pacific, Europe, and North America, are looking for Data Engineers.
The Technology and Operations function is comprised of five teams of specialists with distinct capabilities: business partnership, technology, operations, risk governance, and planning support and services. They work closely together to harness the power of technology to support our physical and digital banking services and operations. This includes developing, centralising, and standardising technology systems as well as banking operations in Malaysia and overseas branches.
The client has more than 80 years of history in the banking industry and is expanding its footprint in Malaysia.
You will be working in a newly set-up technology centre located in Kuala Lumpur as part of Technology and Operations to deliver innovative financial technology solutions that enable business growth and technology transformation.
Responsibilities
Provide L3 production support for Digital Banking applications built on React and related frontend technologies.
Develop, enhance, and maintain frontend components using React, JavaScript, HTML, and CSS.
Analyze, troubleshoot, and resolve production incidents within defined SLAs.
Perform root cause analysis (RCA) and implement permanent fixes for recurring issues.
Collaborate with development teams for bug fixes, enhancements, and production deployments.
Support application releases, change requests, and production implementations.
Work with Oracle databases for application troubleshooting and data validation.
Maintain technical documentation and operational procedures.
Support deployment and release activities following DevOps and Agile methodologies.
Prepare management reports and provide regular status updates.
Work across HPUX, Linux, and Solaris environments as required.
Skills
Must have
6-9 years of experience in application development and L3 production support.
Strong hands-on experience with React.
Strong proficiency in JavaScript, HTML, and CSS.
Experience supporting Digital Banking or enterprise web applications.
Experience troubleshooting production issues and performing root cause analysis.
Experience working with Oracle databases.
Experience working in Unix/Linux environments.
Strong analytical, debugging, and problem-solving skills.
Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
