Our Client a leading bank in Asia with a global network of more than 500 branches and offices in 19 countries and territories in Asia Pacific, Europe and North America are looking for Consultants to be part of the project
The Technology and Operations function is comprised of five teams of specialists with distinct capabilities: business partnership, technology, operations, risk governance and planning support and services. They work closely together to harness the power of technology to support our physical and digital banking services and operations. This includes developing, centralising and standardising technology systems as well as banking operations in Malaysia and overseas branches.
The client has more than 80 years of history in the banking industry and is expanding its footprint in Malaysia.
The selected resource will be working in a newly setup technology centre located in Kuala Lumpur as part of Technology and Operations to deliver innovative financial technology solutions that enable business growth and technology transformation.
Responsibilities
Data Collection & Integration
Collect, consolidate, and validate data from multiple sources including CMDB (e.g., Remedy), IT Asset Management (ITAM) systems, vendor lifecycle repositories, and security or vulnerability platforms.
Ensure data consistency, completeness, and alignment across configuration, asset, and lifecycle repositories.
Validate data quality and maintain data accuracy for reporting and analysis.
Technology Obsolescence Analysis
Identify End-of-Life (EOL), End-of-Support (EOS), and obsolete technologies across hardware, software, operating systems, databases, middleware, and cloud platforms.
Analyze lifecycle risks based on technology, vendor, business unit, and application criticality.
Support prioritization of technology remediation based on risk, business impact, and compliance requirements.
Reporting & Dashboard Development
Design, develop, and maintain interactive dashboards and reports using Power BI and Tableau.
Create dashboards covering technology lifecycle, obsolescence risk, remediation progress, compliance, and audit metrics.
Enable self-service analytics for business and technology stakeholders.
CMDB & IT Asset Management
Support alignment between CMDB records and deployed technology assets.
Identify data gaps, inconsistencies, and duplicate asset records. Improve asset lifecycle tagging, ownership, and criticality classification.
Collaborate with ITSM, ITAM, and platform teams to enhance data governance and quality.
Stakeholder Support
Provide analytical insights to project managers, technology leads, risk, security, audit, and governance teams.
Translate technical data into clear business insights and recommendations.
Support roadmap planning and business case preparation using data-driven analysis.
Data Governance & Continuous Improvement
Define data standards, reporting metrics, and governance documentation.
Automate data refreshes and reporting processes where feasible.
Identify opportunities to improve lifecycle visibility and predictive risk analysis.
Skills
Must have
6-9 years of experience in Data Analysis, Reporting, or Business Intelligence within IT or technology environments.
Strong hands-on experience with Power BI, including DAX, data modeling, and performance optimization.
Strong experience developing dashboards using Tableau.
Advanced SQL skills for querying and analyzing large datasets.
Experience working with structured and semi-structured data.
Practical knowledge of CMDB concepts, configuration relationships, and data models.
Experience with IT Asset Management (ITAM) data for hardware and software assets.
Good understanding of technology lifecycle management, including EOL, EOS, and decommissioning processes.
Knowledge of enterprise IT environments, including applications, infrastructure, databases, middleware, and cloud platforms.
Familiarity with vendor lifecycle management and technology support policies.
Strong analytical, problem-solving, communication, and stakeholder management skills.
Experience producing management reports and data-driven insights.
Nice to have
Experience supporting modernization, risk, lifecycle, or transformation initiatives is a strong advantage
