Our Client a leading bank in Asia with a global network of more than 500 branches and offices in 19 countries and territories in Asia Pacific, Europe, and North America, are looking for Consultants to be part of the project.
The Technology and Operations function is comprised of five teams of specialists with distinct capabilities: business partnership, technology, operations, risk governance, and planning support and services. They work closely together to harness the power of technology to support our physical and digital banking services and operations. This includes developing, centralising, and standardising technology systems as well as banking operations in Malaysia and overseas branches.
The client has more than 80 years of history in the banking industry and is expanding its footprint in Malaysia.
You will be working in a newly set-up technology centre located in Kuala Lumpur as part of Technology and Operations to deliver innovative financial technology solutions that enable business growth and technology transformation.
Responsibilities
Design and develop responsive, high-performance web applications for Digital / Retail Banking platforms.
Collaborate with UI/UX designers, backend developers, and business analysts to deliver seamless user experiences.
Develop reusable components using React and JavaScript frameworks.
Integrate web applications with backend systems and APIs.
Perform code reviews, troubleshoot issues, and ensure high code quality and maintainability.
Work in an Agile / DevOps environment to continuously enhance application delivery.
Participate in deployment, version control, and production support activities as needed.
Document development processes and provide management reports when required.
Skills
Must have
6-9 years of experience in Web Development within Digital or Retail Banking domains.
Strong proficiency in React, JavaScript, HTML, CSS.
Experience with Oracle Database for backend integration.
Good understanding of cross-browser compatibility, responsive design, and security best practices.
Hands-on experience with Linux/HPUX/Solaris environments.
Excellent analytical, debugging, and problem-solving skills.
Nice to have
Backend development experience using Java, JSP, Spring, and XML.
Familiarity with SQL, Unix scripting, and Web Content Management (WCM) tools such as AEM Forms/Sites or TeamSite.
Understanding of DevOps and Agile methodologies.
Exposure to management reporting tools or dashboard design.
