POSITION GENERAL SUMMARY

Support the compliance unit by creating and maintaining technical drawings, designs, and plans related to airport facilities, infrastructure, and regulatory requirements in ensuring adherence to relevant regulations, standards, and guidelines for airport safety, infrastructure development, and operational efficiency

ESSENTIAL POSITION FUNCTIONS

• Develop and maintain the design and drafting of AutoCAD drawings for aerodrome infrastructure including runways, taxiways and apron.
• Oversee and mentor regional draughtsman officer, providing guidance and ensuring adherence to requirements
• Collaborate with PDSS and airport teams proactively on aerodrome compliances to ensure accuracy and compliance with Civil Aviation Directive 14 Vol. I Aerodrome Design and Operations and ICAO SARPs.
• Manage multiple projects simultaneously, coordinating resources and timelines to meet deadlines especially for the aerodrome certification.
• Prepare and present detailed reports, audit documentation, presentations and design proposals to internal and external stakeholders.
• Proficiency in using AVIPLAN software to develop and manage simulation projects on runways, taxiways and apron layouts and other aerodrome elements
• Prepare and maintain technical documentation including Aerodrome Manual, design specifications, survey reports and project plans.
• Facilitate Aerodrome Certification and Safety Management System (SMS) and ensure airports comply to Standard and Recommended Practices ( SARPs ) according to ICAO and CAAM requirements.
• Gather and summarize audit reports, monitor corrective actions and preventive measures, analyze audit data for the management reporting system, and provide updates for management meetings.
• Assist the Compliance Unit in reviewing and update regulatory documentation. i.e. Aerodrome Manual, SMS Manual, AWHMP, ADARP, AEP
• Close findings/NCR audit from CAAM/Internal Audit/Certification Body and follow-up with airports.
• Facilitate meeting or consultation session with airports.

Skills

1. Strong proficiency in AutoCAD (2D and 3D), including the ability to create and modify complex drawings.
2. Knowledge of industry standards, building codes, and regulations, particularly in the aviation sector.
3. Excellent attention to detail and accuracy in drafting and compliance documentation.
4. Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
5. Strong organizational and time management skills.
6. Good communication skills, both written and verbal.

Education

• Degree in Engineering, Architecture, or a related technical field.
• Proficiency in AutoCAD and other CAD software is required.

Relevant Industries

• Degree holder with minimum CGPA 3.0 and minimum 1 year relevant experience
   

Unique Requirement: Experience in working on projects related to aviation, airport facilities, or large-scale infrastructure is an advantage.
