Job Description

POSITION GENERAL SUMMARY

  • Responsible for planning, coordinating, and supervising horticultural operations to ensure effective execution of landscape maintenance and enhancement activities across assigned areas. The role provides technical and operational guidance to officers and contractors, oversees vendor performance, and ensures compliance with company policies, quality standards, safety, and environmental requirements. The incumbent contributes to the development of work programmes, resource planning, and continuous improvement initiatives to enhance the efficiency and sustainability of horticultural services.

 

ESSENTIAL POSITION FUNCTIONS

  • Plan, supervise, and coordinate daily horticultural operations, ensuring work programmes and schedules are executed effectively and in compliance with company policies.
  • Provide technical guidance and oversight to officers, staff, and vendors in maintaining and enhancing landscape areas.
  • Monitor contractor/vendor performance, enforce service level agreements, and ensure compliance with procurement procedures.
  • Prepare, review, and analyze operational reports, financial usage, and progress updates for management.
  • Assist in developing and implementing horticultural strategies, standards, and best practices to improve quality, efficiency, and sustainability.
  • Ensure compliance with safety, health, environmental, and quality management requirements in all horticultural operations.
  • Support management in project execution, vendor evaluation, and operational improvements as required.
  • Perform any other operational or administrative tasks as instructed by Management.

Key Challenges

  • Supervise & manage foreign workers who are not aware of the company's terms and regulations of works, procedure, statutory requirement etc.
  • Monitoring and measurement of process; analytical, knowledge, systematic approach and integrity are vital components to achieve good results.

Skills

  • Strong technical knowledge on landscape and other related activities.
  • Independent and strong communication background related   to government bodies.
  • Knowledge in basic accounting, labor law and Immigration act.
  • Experience in landscaping design is an added advantage.

Relevant Industries

Degree holder with minimum 3.0 CGPA with minimum 1 year relevant working experience.

Education

Degree preferably with specialization in Agriculture/ Landscape Management
