POSITION GENERAL SUMMARY

To be responsible to develop or construct software program based on the detail system specification, design, and requirement. Their task is to develop and deliver the product according to the timeframe given. They must also ensure the high quality of the coding and performance of the product delivered

ESSENTIAL POSITION FUNCTIONS

• Adhere to the company standardized applications development lifecycle methodology and coding standards.
• To keep the system/deliverables in scope with the business requirements.
• Good knowledge in software development lifecycle and various project management techniques.
• Evaluating the program's effectiveness to increasing program operating efficiency and adapting to new requirements, as necessary.
• Ensure development task is complete within the timeframe given.
• Conducting user acceptance testing to ensure the program can be used easily, quickly and accurately.
• Consulting manuals, periodicals, and technical reports to learn new ways to develop programs and maintain existing skills and knowledge.
• Conduct/lead through frequent code reviews and application testing to increase program operating efficiency and adapting to new requirement, as necessary.
• Ensure all process, work, documentation, and reporting are adhere to the ISO standards and update relevant documents on all executed changes in a timely manner.
• Document programming problems and resolutions for future reference.
• To assist the technical authors to produce with operational documentation with technical authors.
• Must be able to conduct training for internal and external users for the related deployed system.
• To provide 3rd level technical/functional software support and maintenance.
• Involve in trouble-shooting, optimizing, and fine-tuning of the applications.
• Maintaining, tuning, and repairing applications; performing preventive maintenance activities providing user support.
• Maintain confidentiality with regard to the information being processed, stored or accessed.
• Create and encourage a positive team environment and coordinate work efforts of each team members in cohesive fashion.
• May make suggestions or offer alternative resolutions for software problems or enhancements.
• Participates in the development of software user manuals to support the ongoing use and application of the software.
• May demonstrate software to others to introduce them to new or enhanced applications.
• Provide direction and support and assists in the training of less experienced software development staff to orient them and increase their understanding of more complex software development.
• May act as a team leader on less complex projects.
• Performs other duties as assigned or apparent.

Education

External

• Degree preferably with specialization in Computer Science/IT or equivalent.

Relevant Industries

EXTERNAL

• Degree holder with minimum CGPA 3.0 and minimum 1 year relevant experience.
