Job Description

POSITION GENERAL SUMMARY

  • Drive industry analysis, strategic evaluations, stakeholder communications, and cross-functional collaboration to support the CFO and Group Finance in strengthening the Group’s financial strategy and decision-making. 

 

ESSENTIAL POSITION FUNCTIONS

Industry Insights & Competitive Intelligence

  1. Monitor and compile emerging trends and developments in the global airport and infrastructure sectors.
  2. Assist in conducting competitive benchmarking exercises on financial performance, operational models, and innovation trends.
  3. Gather and analyse internal data for comparison against selected peers and global best practices.
  4. Analyse key financial and operational metrics (e.g., revenue per passenger, opex per terminal) to support performance reviews.
  5. Provide input and recommendations for internal Group Finance discussions based on compiled insights.
  6. Develop and maintain repository of industry data and best practices to inform strategic decisions.

Corporate Strategy & Business Evaluation

  1. Assist Finance and other Business Units on the evaluation of business proposals, supporting business case preparation and preliminary risk & opportunity assessment (including regulatory risks and opportunities),of strategic initiatives such as mergers and acquisitions, divestitures, fundraising, new concessions and overseas investments
  2. Support coordination and documentation during due diligence and execution of approved strategic transactions, including M&A and investment activities.

Stakeholder Engagement & Financial Communications

  1. Contribute to the preparation of presentations and briefing materials for stakeholders such as regulators, financiers, shareholders, and analysts.
  2. Assist in responding to stakeholder queries related to the Group’s financial strategy and performance.
  3. Support the Investor Relations and Strategy teams and other Business Units in maintaining clear and consistent communications and disclosures.
  4. Review, revise and maintain policies relating to shareholders communications.

Cross-functional Collaboration

  1. Work with key departments including Group Strategy, Business Units, and Finance Business Partners to align on priorities and financial plans.
  2. Support coordination of strategic planning engagements including, but not limited to workshops, internal reviews, and management meetings.
  3. Monitor the implementation of strategic and finance-related initiatives across business units.
  4. Support Finance’s involvement in project review and Toll-gate processes.

Special Projects & CFO Support

  1. Assist the CFO and Group Finance teams on ad hoc strategic projects and high-impact initiatives.
  2. Contribute to internal documentation, reports, and materials prepared for management or board-level review.
  3. Identifying improvements to strategic projects processes, systems, and controls to enhance efficiency and ensure smooth implementation of project delivery.
     

Key Challenges

  • Keeping pace with global industry trends in airports and infrastructure to provide timely, relevant insights.
  • Balancing strategic opportunities with financial risks in evaluating new ventures, M&A, and investments.
  • Managing diverse stakeholder expectations (regulators, financiers, shareholders) with clear, consistent communication.
  • Ensuring cross-functional alignment across Business Units, Group Strategy, and Finance to drive strategic initiatives.
  • Supporting high-impact projects under tight timelines while maintaining accuracy, compliance, and efficiency.

Skills

  • Have in-depth financial and investment analysis as well as good writing skills.
  • Good business sense and interpersonal skills, a wide degree of creativity and economic latitude is expected.
  • Sound knowledge of corporate analysis work demonstrated through relevant work experience.
  • Possess good presentation skills with the ability to effectively communicate financial transactions. Able to prepare clear and concise presentation materials.
  • Self-driven, strong determination and able to work under pressure
  • Excellent oral and written English skills with good attention to detail.

Education

External

  • Degree in Accounting/Finance
  • Master degree would be an added advantage

Relevant Industries

External

  • Degree with minimum 5 years relevant experience.

Unique Requirement

  • Professional Qualification (ICAA,  ICAEW, CPA, ACCA, CIMA or Chartered Financial Analyst (CFA)
