POSITION GENERAL SUMMARY

• Develops and implements BCM strategies and disaster recovery plans to ensure critical IT services during disruptions. Responsibilities include conducting BIA and risk assessments, organizing continuity tests, updating BCM frameworks, and ensuring compliance. The role also involves collaborating with IT and business units to align BCM plans with organizational goals and providing regular reports on BCM status and recovery capabilities.

ESSENTIAL POSITION FUNCTIONS

• Develop and Implement IT BCM Strategies: Design and implement IT Business Continuity Management (BCM) strategies to ensure the availability of critical IT services during disruptions. Establish and maintain IT disaster recovery plans and procedures aligned with business continuity objectives.
• Business Impact Analysis (BIA) and Risk Assessment: Conduct regular Business Impact Analysis (BIA) to assess the criticality of IT systems and processes, identify potential risks, and determine recovery priorities. Perform IT risk assessments in collaboration with business units to identify vulnerabilities and ensure continuity planning addresses organizational needs.
• Test and Exercise IT Continuity Plans: Plan, organize, and lead regular IT continuity tests and simulations to ensure readiness and effectiveness of IT recovery strategies. Document test findings and ensure corrective actions are implemented based on results.
• Monitor and Maintain IT Continuity Framework: Continuously review and update IT BCM frameworks and recovery strategies to reflect technological changes, business needs, and emerging threats. Monitor the execution of BCM strategies to ensure compliance with relevant regulations and industry standards.
• Stakeholder Collaboration: Collaborate with IT teams and business units to ensure alignment between IT BCM plans and business continuity objectives.
• Provide training and raise awareness on IT BCM best practices and procedures to ensure organizational preparedness.
• Reporting and Documentation: Maintain detailed documentation of IT BCM processes, incidents, and recovery tests. Regularly report on IT BCM status, risks, and recovery capabilities to senior management.

Key Challenges

• Monitor the execution of BCM workstreams according to agreed timelines established in the BCM Annual Work Plan, which is reported to the Corporate Risk Management Committee and Board Risk Management Committee on a quarterly basis
• Regular engagement with numerous internal and external stakeholders within the airport environment
• Numerous BCM documentation to be developed, reviewed, approved and maintained by relevant airport stakeholders
• Analyze and understand risks on various fields and in airports operations and how it relates to the BCM development
• Keep oneself updated with dynamic environment of airport and aviation industry.

• Advantage:
  • Proficient in IT risk management & business management.
  • Certified in Risk Management Professional preferably in Information Technology
  • Certified Business Continuity or IT Disaster Recovery Professional

Education

INTERNAL

• Degree with two (2) years of working experience in Risk Management /IT Disaster Recovery or related areas in an Executive Role OR
• Diploma with three (3) years of working experience in Risk Management /IT Disaster Recovery t or related areas in an Executive Role OR
• STPM / Certificate with five (5) years working experience in Risk Management /IT Disaster Recovery  or related areas in Executive Role OR
• SPM with seven (7) years of working experience in Risk Management /IT Disaster Recovery  or related areas in an Executive Role

Education

EXTERNAL

• Degree with three (3) years working experience in Risk Management and / or BCM and/ or IT Disaster Recovery related areas OR
• Degree with three (3) years working experience in Information Security Management related areas OR
• Degree with four (4) years working experience in Project Management related areas OR
• Certified with a Risk Management and/ or BCM professional and/or ISMS certification with a recognized international certifying body.

Relevant Industries

INTERNAL

• Degree with  minimum 2 years relevant experience in Executive role, OR
• Diploma with minimum 3 years relevant experience in Executive role, OR
• Certificate with minimum 5 years relevant experience in Executive role

• Must achieve and maintain the following performance rating for two (2) consecutive years of at least

  • Exceptional / A or Outstanding / B; and

  • Minimum Meet Expectations / C

• The employee must not be subjected to disciplinary punishments except for disciplinary counseling, caution, reminder & warning for the past 36 consecutive months immediately preceding the promotion

• Degree with minimum 3 years relevant experience.
