Job Description

POSITION GENERAL SUMMARY

  • The BHS Specialist will provide expertise in the overall total solution of the KLIA Asset Replacement Program Baggage Handling System (ARP BHS) project in a large-scale environment.
  • The appointed BHS Specialist will become a catalyst for change who is qualified to identify a problem related to the current BHS system, process, operation and maintenance, able to provide an objective to improve operation, and business requirements and adhere to the authority's requirement local and international standards. 

 

ESSENTIAL POSITION FUNCTIONS

  • To anchor and perform expert tasks and advice on a project.
  • To assist  the Project Director Representative (PDR) with the BHS project
  • To lead and provide strategic leadership and technical, operational,  and managerial leadership for successful implementation of overall project activities within the stipulated time, cost and quality until completion of the Defect Liability Period,
  • To Lead and manage stakeholders & management technical engagement,
  • To Ensure that the project is technically sound, evidence-based, and consistent with the company business plan and operation needs, 
  • To provide oversight of project implementation including all activities, outputs, and outcomes related to engineering technical, and project management including reporting, execution of project plans, and project performance,
  • To ensure the project produces the specified results in the annual work plan(s) to the required standard of quality and within the timeline and budget parameters,  
  • To ensure that the project progresses in accordance with its contractual obligations and complies with regulations and internal organizational policies.
  • To lead the execution of the project until completion (including the ORAT/Testing and Commissioning) within the approved project scopes, project timeline and approved quality.
  • To lead the project handover and ensure the DefectLiability Period is undertaken within the stipulated timeline and scope. 
  • To anchor and lead several series of workshops on the preparation for BHS execution plans that is consistent with the company's business plan and operational needs.

  • Familiar with the Factories and Machinery Act 1967, Environmental Quality Act and Occupational Safety and Health 1994.

Education

External         

  • Recognised Engineering Degree or equivalent from a reputable university worldwide, with professional accreditation where applicable, and verifiable international engineering experience. Preferred: PMP certification

  • Strong technical expertise in BHS, project management, and communication skills. experience, good understanding, and working knowledge of overall BHS solutions, including the relevant authority bodies, 
  • Must possess excellent communication skills and the ability to present complex topics to non-technical audiences.

  • Demonstrated global expertise in BHS systems with cross-border project experience. •Strong project leadership and communication skills, with a proven ability to work with multicultural teams and international stakeholders.

  • Self-driven, adaptable, and able to perform under varying time zones and regulatory environments.

  • A self-driven, adaptable, professional with the ability to deliver in high-pressure situations
