Job Description

• Develop and manage MAF strategy for raising unrestricted money from corporate donors, philanthropic institutions and high net worth individuals.
• Develop and maintain a portfolio of companies and take responsibility for delivering and developing plans for securing new income from businesses and identify opportunities within the corporate sector.
• Develop a long-term strategy for Corporate Giving.
• Plan fundraising events such as dinners, receptions, etc.
• Develop professional solicitation proposals and undertake presentations at senior level meetings.
• Manage relationships with Corporates before, during, and after receipt of funds and maintain a high level of engagement with corporate donors.
• Monitor CSR/Corporate Responsibility issues in the media, and keep up to date with professional fundraising associations and media regarding fundraising tools and skills development.
• To continue to raise the profile of MAF by networking at appropriate events and secure new introductions.
• Track, analyse and report on fundraising results in the corporate field and measure, manage and report performance using agreed performance measures.
• Work closely with the events fundraiser to maximize corporate contacts leverage and manage corporate participation in the events program.
• To raise MAF profile by networking at appropriate events and secure new introductions, and liaise with the Media and Communication Department of MAF to build positive impression about MAF and its individual givin programme.
• Ensures timely and accurate maintenance of all gift, solicitation and donor information in MAF database including tracking and fulfillment of pledges, donor recognition activities, and receipting and timely acknowledgement.
• Work closely with counterpart in the Resource Mobilisation & Fundraising Department to implement fundraising events and campaign that raises unrestricted income for MAF.
• Actively seek sponsorship to support MAF events.
• Carry out any other duties of role, as may be directed by the Executive Director of Malaysian AIDS Foundation to further the aims of MAF.

Job Requirements

• Relevant Bachelor’s degree/diploma 
• Minimum 2 years relevant working experience in business development, project management and fundraising.
• Experience in community/social works are an added advantage.

• The position is responsible for Corporate & Philanthropic Engagement.

1. Marketing – Knowledge of branding and products/services and how it influences the society.
2. Administration and Management — Knowledge of business and management principles involved in strategic planning, resource allocation, human resources modelling, leadership technique, production methods and coordination of people and resources.

4. Negotiation and conflict resolution – Negotiate with the public, help MAC to understand the opinions of a particular public, use conflict resolution in dealing with the public.
