DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
·Lead and coordinate improvement initiatives for existing plating processes to optimize productivity, yield, and quality.
·Identify root causes of process issues, analyze performance data, and implement corrective actions to minimize defects and waste.
·Develop, test, and scale-up new plating processes, including selection of materials and chemicals, formulation optimization, and equipment evaluation.
·Collaborate with engineering and production teams to translate new developments into reliable, manufacturable processes.
·Monitor critical process parameters and respond to out-of-control situations to maintain process stability and consistency.
·Ensure compliance with industry standards, safety and environmental regulations, and quality protocols throughout all plating operations.
·Train and mentor technical staff and operators on best practices and process enhancements.
·Prepare technical documentation, including process changes, control plans, and experimental results.
·Evaluate and introduce new plating technologies, materials, and automation solutions.
·Support troubleshooting of production issues and participate in cross-functional problem-solving teams.
QUALIFICATIONS/EXPERIENCE REQUIRES:
Bachelor Degree in Chemistry / Chemical Engineering / Material Science or Diploma in Chemical Process Technology with minimum three years’ experience in Chemical Process Industry (preferably in the Electro-plating Industry)
PERSONAL ATTRIBUTES:
· High Technical Competency in the Chemical and plating related Field.
· Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to effectively work with technical teams and shop floor personnel.
· Proven leadership and project management capabilities.
· Analytical and objective mindset with strong problem-solving abilities.
· Willingness to travel as required for operational support or project needs.
· Proficiency in Chinese Mandarin will be an added advantage due to the need to work with our sister plants in China and Taiwan.
