Mano Plus is a curated retail platform showcasing regional artisanal and design-led brands. The Full-Time Retail Associate at the Penang store (George Town) will own daily store operations, ensuring smooth store functioning, strong customer experience, on-brand visual merchandising, inventory accuracy, and timely e-commerce order fulfilment.

Job Requirements

Responsibilities include:

• Retail & Store Operations
  • Own daily store operations from opening to closing (based on assigned shift)
  • Execute opening and closing checklists; handle cashiering, daily POS reconciliation, and cash float management
  • Maintain floor reset standards every 2–3 hours and execute pre-close VM reset 30 minutes before closing
  • Receive, verify, and organise incoming stock deliveries; support inter-store stock transfers
• Visual Merchandising
  • Maintain VM and display standards in line with Mano Plus guidelines; ensure shelves and display zones are clean, fully stocked, and on-brand; ensure accurate, visible pricing
  • Assist with VM resets and merchandising projects as directed
• Inventory & Stock Management
  • Conduct routine stock checks and flag discrepancies; monitor tester stock; replenish fast-moving products; support stock takes
• Order Fulfilment
  • Process and fulfil online orders (pick, pack, dispatch); coordinate with courier partners; ensure packaging materials are stocked
• Customer Experience
  • Greet and engage customers; guide customers through products and brand stories; offer intentional cross-sell recommendations; handle basic enquiries and escalate complaints to supervisor
• General Duties
  • Maintain store cleanliness and organisation; log incidents (complaints, damaged goods, POS issues, discrepancies); support events, campaigns, or pop-ups; submit expense claims

Requirements and qualifications:

• Minimum 1 year of retail or customer-facing experience preferred (fresh graduates with the right attitude are welcome)
• Comfortable with POS systems and basic e-commerce platforms; Shopify experience a plus
• Good communication skills in English; Mandarin or Malay is a plus
• Able to work retail hours on a rotating 7-day roster including weekends
• Responsible, proactive, detail-oriented, calm and confident customer service approach (not a hard-seller)
