Job Summary

Ready to welcome customers and showcase regional artisanal brands? Working with us at Mano Plus you will represent our curated, design-led labels at the our Georgetown, Penang store. 

As a Retail Associate you will build reliable daily operations and a welcoming in-store experience. You will manage opening and closing checklists, visual merchandising, inventory accuracy, POS tasks, and online order fulfilment to keep the store running smoothly.

• Expand customer-facing experience by guiding product discovery, handling enquiries, and supporting events or pop-ups.
• Strengthen visual merchandising and operational ownership through regular floor resets, stock receiving, and pre-close VM routines.

Job Requirements

Responsibilities

Store operations & customer experience

• You will run opening and closing checklists and keep the store ready for customers each day.
• You will handle cashiering, daily POS reconciliation, manage the cash float, and verify purchases at checkout.
• You will greet and engage customers, guide product discovery and brand stories, offer sincere cross-sell suggestions, handle basic enquiries, and escalate complaints to your supervisor.
• You will keep the store clean and organised, log incidents such as complaints, damaged goods, POS issues and discrepancies, and support events, campaigns or pop-ups.

Merchandising & inventory

• You will maintain visual merchandising and display standards with regular floor resets every 2 to 3 hours and a pre-close VM reset 30 minutes before closing.
• You will receive, verify and organise incoming stock, support inter-store transfers, conduct routine stock checks and monitor tester levels.
• You will replenish fast-moving products, support stock takes, and flag low-stock items to your supervisor promptly.

Qualifications & Experience

• Minimum 1 year of retail or customer-facing experience preferred; fresh graduates with the right attitude are welcome.
• Able to work retail hours on a rotating 7-day roster including weekends; weekly hours 48; probation period 3 months.

Hard Skills & Knowledge

• Comfortable using POS systems and basic e-commerce platforms; hands-on Shopify experience is a plus.
• Practical experience in cash reconciliation, cash float management and basic stock handling is expected.

Soft Skills & Qualities

• Responsible, proactive and detail-oriented with a calm, confident and considered customer service approach; not a hard-seller.
• Good communication skills in English; Mandarin or Malay is a plus.

Qualifications & Other Requirements:

• Minimum 1 year of retail or customer-facing experience preferred (fresh graduates with the right attitude welcome)
• Responsible, proactive, and detail-oriented with strong operational discipline
• Comfortable with POS systems and basic e-commerce platforms (Shopify experience a plus)
