As the Senior Account backbone for our finance function, you will prepare and review financial statements and lead month-end and year-end closings. You will oversee reconciliations, accruals and journal entries, support budgeting, forecasting and variance analysis, and ensure tax and audit compliance while liaising with external auditors and tax agents. You will mentor junior colleagues and drive process improvements and automation to make the close faster and more reliable.

Job Requirements

Responsibilities

Financial reporting & analysis

• Prepare and review financial statements, balance sheets and management reports to ensure accurate month-end and year-end closes.
• Produce budgeting, forecasting and variance analysis that turn financial data into clear recommendations for clients and management.

Controls, compliance & systems

• Maintain reconciliations, accruals and general ledger controls to protect trial balance accuracy and reporting integrity.
• Work with external auditors and tax agents to support audits and tax compliance, and ensure timely filings.
• Drive ERP improvements and automation to shorten close cycles and increase data reliability.

People & process leadership

• Mentor and review junior accountants, providing coaching and quality checks to raise team performance.
• Coordinate tasks and deadlines across teams to keep close schedules consistent and dependable.

Requirements

Qualifications & Experience

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance or a related field, required.
• CPA, ACCA, CIMA or equivalent professional certification, preferred or required.
• 3-5+ years of experience in accounting or financial reporting, with prior experience in audit, general ledger management or financial analysis.
• Experience leading or mentoring junior team members.

Hard Skills & Knowledge

• Strong proficiency in accounting software, with familiarity using SQL as an example for data extraction.
• Advanced MS Excel skills for analysis and reconciliations.
• Solid understanding of financial reporting standards.
• Experience with ERP systems and financial dashboards is desirable.
