Why does this job exist and why is it critical?​

The Channel Partner Program Manager is responsible for creating and managing incentive programs for channel partners, including distributors, resellers, and VARs, by developing reward structures, SPIFs, and MDF programs. They lead channel marketing and sales initiatives, including joint campaigns, product launches, and training, while ensuring partners have the necessary resources and support to succeed. The role also involves monitoring KPIs, tracking ROI, and optimizing program performance to align with business goals and enhance partner readiness.

What are you accountable for?

  • Create and manage incentive programs for channel partners (distributors, resellers, VARs, etc.).
  • Develop reward structures, SPIFs (Sales Performance Incentive Funds), and MDF (Market Development Funds) programs.
  • Monitor program effectiveness and adjust incentives based on performance.
  • Lead channel marketing and sales programs.
  • Develop joint marketing campaigns, product launches, and training initiatives.
  • Monitor program KPIs, track ROI, and optimize program performance.
  • Ensure that partners have the necessary training and resources to succeed.
  • Provide product knowledge, sales training, and marketing support.
  • Regularly assess partner readiness and address any gaps.
  • Design and maintain a robust channel framework that aligns with the organization’s business goals.
  • Define partner tiers, rules of engagement, and performance metrics.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure seamless channel operations.
  • Define and track key performance indicators (KPIs) specific to channel partners
  • Regularly review these metrics and adjust strategies accordingly.
