Why does this job exist and why is it critical?​

Maxis Mobile is seeking a highly experienced and strategic Programme Manager to lead and oversee the successful delivery of complex, cross-functional programmes. This role is crucial for driving key initiatives that align with our business objectives and enhance our market position.

What are you accountable for?

  • Define, plan, and execute multiple concurrent programmes from initiation to closure, ensuring alignment with Maxis Mobile's strategic goals and business needs.
  • Develop comprehensive programme plans, including scope, objectives, deliverables, timelines, resource requirements, and budget allocations.
  • Lead and motivate diverse project teams, providing guidance, coaching, and support to ensure successful project execution and team development.
  • Establish and maintain strong communication channels with all stakeholders, including senior management, department heads, project managers, and external partners.
  • Proactively identify, assess, and mitigate programme risks and issues, developing effective contingency plans to ensure programme continuity.
  • Monitor and track programme progress, performance, and budget utilization, providing regular reports and updates to stakeholders.
  • Implement and champion best practices in programme management methodologies, processes, and tools within Maxis Mobile.
  • Ensure programme deliverables meet quality standards and are delivered on time and within budget.
  • Facilitate decision-making and conflict resolution within programme teams and with stakeholders.
  • Contribute to the continuous improvement of Maxis Mobile's programme management framework and capabilities.

What do you require for the role?

  • Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Information Technology, Engineering, or a related field. Master's degree is a plus.
  • Minimum of 8-10 years of progressive experience in programme management, with a proven track record of successfully delivering large-scale, complex programmes, preferably within the telecommunications or technology sector.
  • Strong understanding of programme management methodologies (e.g., Agile, Waterfall) and experience applying them in a practical setting.
  • Project Management Professional (PMP) or Programme Management Professional (PgMP) certification is highly desirable.
  • Excellent leadership, communication, interpersonal, and negotiation skills.
  • Demonstrated ability to manage multiple priorities, work effectively under pressure, and adapt to changing environments.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities with a keen eye for detail.
  • Proficiency in project management software and tools (e.g., MS Project, Jira, Asana).
  • Experience in stakeholder management and change management.
  • Ability to inspire and motivate teams, fostering a collaborative and high-performance culture.
