The Creative Designer shapes the visual expression of our brand across digital products, campaigns, and internal communications. This role brings ideas to life through strong visual storytelling, ensuring every touchpoint looks consistent and unmistakably Maxis. You will work with UI/UX Design and Marketing team to elevate our customer experience with high-quality visuals, motion, and creative assets.
What are you accountable for?
Create and evolve the brand’s visual language, including color palettes, typography, iconography, illustration style, and layout rules. Establish clear guidelines so all visual touchpoints look consistent, modern, and recognisably “us.”
Design high-quality visuals for app and web interfaces including banners, feature graphics, empty states, onboarding screens, and promotional modules, ensuring they align with both brand and product experience standards.
Develop internal creative materials such as wallpapers, screensavers, posters, presentation assets, etc. Support cross-functional teams by delivering polished, on-brand visuals that strengthen internal culture and external brand presence.
Enhance digital design work by refining visual treatments such as colors, shadows, elevation, composition, and brand expression. Work closely with UI/UX Designers to ensure UI components and screens feel premium, consistent, and visually unified.
Produce simple animations, transitions, micro interactions, and Lottie animations to bring interfaces to life. Use motion to express brand personality, guide user attention, and improve the overall experience.
Build and maintain a central repository of creative assets, visual templates, and reusable components. Ensure teams across the organisation can easily access accurate, up-to-date materials, reducing inconsistencies and speeding up delivery.
What do you need to have to fit this role?
Bachelor’s degree in Design, Visual Communication, Multimedia, or related field; fluent in English and Bahasa Malaysia
5-6 years of experience in creative design and user interface.
Strong portfolio demonstrating visual identity, UI visual styling, and brand expression.
Proficient in design tools such as Figma, Adobe Illustrator,
Photoshop, After Effects (nice-to-have), and other creative tools.
Good understanding of digital design principles, layout,
typography, and visual hierarchy.
Ability to work fast, iterate, and handle multiple requests from
product design, marketing, and internal teams.
Strong eye for detail and passion for clean, modern visual
craftsmanship.
Ability to collaborate cross-functionally and communicate design
decisions effectively
