Why does this job exist and why is it critical?​

As a Financial Analyst for the Enterprise Business of Maxis, you will play a crucial role in driving strategic financial decisions and ensuring the overall financial health of our business. Your primary responsibility will involve managing key stakeholders and conducting thorough reviews of business cases to identify potential opportunities and risks.

What are you accountable for?

  • Business Case Review:
    • Conduct in-depth reviews of business cases, evaluating their financial feasibility and strategic alignment.
    • Analyse financial models, forecasts, and projections to identify potential risks and opportunities.
    • Challenge assumptions and provide constructive feedback to improve the quality of business cases.
  • Financial Analysis:
    • Develop and maintain financial models to support decision-making and strategic planning.
    • Perform complex financial analyses, including variance analysis, profitability analysis, and cost-benefit analysis.
    • Prepare accurate and insightful financial reports and presentations for executive management.
  • Stakeholder Management:
    • Build and maintain strong relationships with key stakeholders across the Enterprise Business, including sales, pricing, product, and operations teams.
    • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to align on financial goals and objectives.
  • Process Improvement:
    • Identify opportunities to streamline financial processes and improve efficiency.
    • Implement new financial tools and technologies to enhance data analysis and reporting capabilities.
    • Contribute to the development of best practices and standards for financial analysis.

What do you need to have for the role?

  • 6 - 8 years of relevant experience.
  • Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or a related field.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Advanced proficiency in financial modeling and analysis tools (e.g., Excel, PowerPoint).
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills, both written and verbal.
  • Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Experience in the telecommunications industry is preferred.

Additional Skills:

  • Knowledge of financial accounting and reporting standards.
  • Understanding of statistical analysis techniques.
  • Project management skills.
