Role Summary
We are seeking an experienced and dynamic Head of Media to lead our media strategy and execution within the Brand & Marcomms department. The ideal candidate will possess a deep understanding of the telecommunications industry, a proven track record in media planning and buying across all channels (digital, traditional, OOH), and a strong ability to drive innovative and effective media campaigns that resonate with our target audience.
This role will be instrumental in optimizing our media spend, maximizing reach and engagement, and ultimately contributing to our brand growth and business objectives.
A critical aspect of this role will be fostering seamless integration between media, communications and social media strategies to deliver a unified and impactful brand message across all touchpoints.
Core Responsibilities:
• Strategic Media Planning & Development: Develop and implement comprehensive media strategies aligned with overall brand and marketing objectives, business KPIs, and target audience insights. This includes identifying optimal media channels, budget allocation, and campaign flighting across all customer segments and product lines.
• Media Buying & Optimization: Oversee all media buying activities, negotiating best-in-class rates and placements with media vendors and agencies. Continuously monitor campaign performance, conduct A/B testing, and implement real-time optimizations to maximize ROI and achieve campaign goals.
• Cross-Functional Integration & Synergy: Champion the seamless integration of media strategy with communications (PR/corporate comms) and social media initiatives. Work closely with respective teams to ensure consistent messaging, aligned content calendars, and synchronized campaign activations across paid, earned, and owned channels, maximizing overall brand impact and storytelling.
• Agency & Vendor Management: Lead and manage relationships with external media agencies, ad-tech partners, and media vendors. Ensure agencies deliver high-quality work, adhere to performance metrics, and contribute strategically to our media efforts.
• Performance Analysis & Reporting: Establish robust measurement frameworks and KPIs for all media campaigns. Analyze campaign data, generate actionable insights, and provide regular, comprehensive reports on media performance, demonstrating impact on brand awareness, customer acquisition, and engagement.
• Innovation & Industry Leadership: Stay abreast of the latest media trends, technologies, and competitive landscape within the telco industry and broader media ecosystem. Proactively identify and recommend new media opportunities, innovative platforms, and emerging ad formats to maintain a competitive edge.
Requirements
Degree in Marketing, Communications, or related field with minimum 15+ years in media strategy and buying.
Strong leadership in integrated media planning across digital, traditional, and OOH.
Proven track record in media buying, optimization, and ROI-driven campaigns.
Skilled in cross-functional collaboration with PR, social, and content teams.
Data-driven, innovative, and up to date with media trends and platforms.
