Job Summary:
Reporting to the Head of Region, the Head of Sales for Open Channel (Prepaid & Entry Postpaid Distribution) is responsible for driving sales performance, market share growth, and execution excellence across the prepaid and entry-level postpaid segments. This role leads the development and implementation of sales strategies, manages distributor relationships, and oversees a team of Area Managers and Distributor Area Executives (DAEs) to ensure effective ground-level execution.
The position plays a key role in optimizing channel coverage, enhancing dealer engagement, and ensuring that sales operations are aligned with business objectives. It requires strong leadership, strategic thinking, and the ability to manage a multi-tiered sales structure across diverse markets.
Key Responsibilities
Sales Strategy & Execution:
Develop and implement sales strategies to drive revenue growth, market share, and channel productivity across prepaid and entry postpaid segments.
Distributor & Partner Management:
Build and maintain strong relationships with distributors, dealers, and partners to ensure alignment with business goals and execution excellence.
Team Leadership & Development:
Lead and manage Area Managers and Distributor Area Executives (DAEs), providing coaching, performance management, and development opportunities to build a high-performing sales team.
Channel Optimization:
Oversee channel coverage and dealer engagement strategies to maximize reach, efficiency, and sales conversion.
Performance Monitoring:
Track and analyze sales performance metrics, identify gaps, and implement corrective actions to meet or exceed targets.
Market Intelligence:
Conduct market analysis to identify trends, customer needs, and competitive insights to inform sales strategies and tactical plans.
Cross-Functional Collaboration:
Work closely with marketing, product, and operations teams to ensure cohesive execution and alignment with broader business objectives.
Budget & Resource Management:
Manage sales budgets and resource allocation to ensure cost-effective operations and optimal return on investment.
Compliance & Governance:
Ensure all sales activities and channel operations comply with company policies, regulatory requirements, and ethical standards.
Qualifications:
Diploma or degree in Marketing, Business Administration, or related field; MBA preferred.
Proven success in sales management and execution.
Experience in developing and executing strategic sales initiatives.
Excellent leadership and team management skills.
Strong analytical and detail-oriented abilities.
Effective communication and interpersonal skills.
Adaptable and resilient in dynamic environments.
Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic environment and adapt to changing market conditions
