Job Description

At 3rd Wave Media, we don't just sell advertising, we help brands tell stories that matter. In this role, you'll work with clients to create content-driven campaigns that engage audiences and achieve client’s business goals.

As a Senior Sales Executive, you will drive revenue across branded content, social campaigns, video content and integrated media solutions. Working closely with our editorial, video and strategy teams, you'll help brands bring their stories to life through engaging, audience-first campaigns.

We are more than just selling media space, you'll be building solutions that help brands achieve their marketing goals.


Job Requirements

Key Responsibilities

1. Revenue Growth & Client Acquisition

  • Drive monthly and quarterly revenue targets across direct clients and agencies
  • Identify, prospect, and secure new business opportunities across lifestyle categories (FMCG, automotive, retail, telco, etc.)
  • Build and maintain a strong pipeline of clients with consistent follow-ups

2. Strategic Sales & Proposal Development

  • Translate client briefs into compelling, insight-led proposals
  • Develop integrated campaigns across:
    • Branded articles
    • Social content (FB, IG, TikTok)
    • Video series
    • On-ground or experiential activations
  • Collaborate with internal teams to craft story-first ideas that align with brand objectives

3. Client Relationship Management

  • Act as the main point of contact for clients and agencies
  • Build long-term relationships that lead to repeat business and upselling opportunities
  • Confidently present ideas, pitch decks, and campaign strategies

4. Market Intelligence & Trend Spotting

  • Stay updated on digital trends, audience behavior, and competitor activity
  • Bring fresh, culturally relevant ideas to clients (not just reactive selling)
  • Understand platform shifts (especially social algorithms and content formats)

Requirements

Experience & Skills

  • 3–5 years experience in media sales, digital advertising, or content partnerships
  • Proven track record of hitting or exceeding sales targets
  • Strong understanding of:
    • Digital media ecosystem
    • Social platforms (especially Facebook, TikTok, Instagram)
    • Branded content and storytelling formats
  • Excellent presentation and communication skills

  • Commercially driven with strong negotiation skills
  • Creative thinker who can turn briefs into sellable ideas
  • Relationship builder who can navigate both clients and agencies
  • Self-motivated, proactive, and comfortable in a fast-paced environment

Bonus Points If You…

  • Have existing agency/client relationships in Malaysia
  • Understand content performance metrics (CTR, engagement, time spent, etc.)
  • Can spot a viral angle before it becomes obvious
  • Speak both English and Bahasa Malaysia fluently.
