As a Social Media Intern at MediaWorks, your primary responsibilities will include identifying trending stories and creating engaging bite-sized content in various social media formats. 

Responsibilities:

1. Trend Identification: Stay updated with the latest news and trends, identifying stories that resonate with our target audience.
2. Bite-sized Content Creation: Develop engaging and shareable content in various social media formats, capturing the essence of trending stories.
3. Social Media Management: Assist in managing the social media presence of our news brands, ensuring timely and consistent updates.
4. Community Engagement: Engage with the audience by responding to comments, messages, and inquiries, fostering an interactive online presence.
5. Campaign Support: Assist in planning and executing social media campaigns to promote news articles, videos, and events.
6. Analytics and Reporting: Help analyze social media data to measure campaign performance and generate insightful reports.
7. Collaboration: Collaborate with content teams to align social media strategies with overall content objectives.
8. Brand Monitoring: Monitor social media mentions and conversations related to our news brands, addressing feedback and issues promptly.

Job Requirements

Qualifications:

1. Education: Currently pursuing a degree in marketing, communication, journalism, or a related field.
2. Social Media Savvy: Familiarity with popular social media platforms, trends, and best practices.
3. Creativity: Ability to create engaging bite-sized content that aligns with trending stories and captures audience attention.
4. Attention to Detail: Keen eye for detail to ensure high-quality content and accurate reporting.
5. Time Management: Ability to prioritize tasks, meet deadlines, and handle multiple projects simultaneously.
6. Team Player: Willingness to collaborate with cross-functional teams and contribute to collective goals.
7. News Awareness: Passion for current events, news, and the digital media landscape in Malaysia.
