As a Video Content Creator, you will work closely with strategists, content creators, and commercial teams to conceptualise, produce, and deliver engaging video and visual content across social media platforms.

The role combines creative storytelling, hands-on production, and social media awareness, with a focus on creating content that is relevant to the audience, aligned with the brand, and designed to drive engagement and reach.

Key Responsibilities:

• Produce, shoot, and edit engaging content (video, photo, graphics, captions) for multiple social media platforms (Instagram, TikTok, Facebook, X, YouTube).
• Keep up with social trends, pop culture, and emerging formats.
• Pitch new ideas for storytelling and content innovation.
• Assist in collaborations with media partners, influencers or any partnerships, including outreach, coordination, and deliverables tracking.
• Ensure all content aligns with brand tone, voice, and visual identity.
• Collaborate with strategists and content creators for content execution.
• Work with sales executives to conceptualize and execute client social media campaigns
•  Assist with on-ground shoots, events, interviews, and other content productions when required. 

Job Requirements

• Diploma or degree in Communications, Media, Marketing, Journalism, or a related field.
• 1–3 years of experience in social media content creation, digital media, video production, or a related field. Fresh graduates with a strong portfolio and demonstrated content creation skills are encouraged to apply.
• Strong portfolio of social media content, particularly short-form video for platforms such as TikTok, Instagram Reels, YouTube Shorts, or similar formats.
• Proficiency in content creation and editing tools, such as Canva, CapCut, Adobe Premiere Pro, Adobe Photoshop, or equivalent software.
• Strong command of English, both written and spoken. Proficiency in Bahasa Malaysia and/or Chinese (Mandarin) is an advantage but not required.
• Comfortable appearing and speaking on camera and participating in interviews, social videos, or other content formats when required.
• Strong awareness of social media trends, pop culture, internet culture, and emerging content formats.
• Good understanding of social media platforms, including how content formats and audience behaviours differ across TikTok, Instagram, Facebook, X, and YouTube.
• Good understanding of news media, current affairs, local culture, and Malaysian audiences.
• Interest in or familiarity with Malaysian politics and current affairs is an advantage.
• Creative, proactive, and willing to experiment with new ideas, formats, and storytelling approaches.
• Able to work collaboratively with strategists, content creators, commercial teams, and other stakeholders.
