Job Description

Overview:
We are looking for a passionate and dedicated Early Childhood Education Intern to support our teachers in creating a warm, engaging, and developmentally appropriate learning environment for young children. This internship is ideal for students pursuing Early Childhood Education or related fields who wish to gain practical, hands-on experience.

Key Responsibilities

  • Assist lead teachers in daily classroom activities, including lessons, play-based learning, and routine care.
     
  • Support in preparing teaching materials, learning corners, and activity setups.
     
  • Observe, guide, and interact with children during class, play, and learning activities.
     
  • Ensure a safe, clean, and nurturing environment at all times.
     
  • Assist in documenting children’s progress through photos, notes, or simple observations.
     
  • Help manage children’s routines (snack time, toileting, transitions, etc.).
     
  • Participate in school events, parent engagement activities, and team meetings when required.
     
  • Provide general administrative and support tasks as assigned by the teacher or principal.

Job Requirements

Qualifications

  • Currently pursuing a Diploma or Degree in Early Childhood Education / Psychology / Child Development / Education studies.
     
  • Genuine interest in working with young children (ages 3–6).
     
  • Patient, caring, cheerful, and approachable personality.
     
  • Good communication skills in English; additional languages are an advantage.
     
  • Strong teamwork skills and willingness to learn.
     
  • Responsible, punctual, and able to follow instructions well.
     
  • Creative and willing to assist in preparing hands-on activities.
     
  • Internship duration: Minimum 3 months (longer durations preferred).
     

Optional Additional Requirements (You may include if relevant)

  • Basic knowledge of child development theory.
     
  • Experience volunteering with children (church, school events, tutoring, etc.).
     
  • Ability to assist in simple classroom decoration or creative projects.
