Job Description

Job Purpose:

To provide a safe, nurturing, and stimulating learning environment that supports the physical, emotional, social, and intellectual development of young children.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Teaching and Learning

• Plan and conduct age-appropriate lessons and activities. 
• Implement the preschool curriculum and learning objectives. 
• Encourage children's cognitive, social, emotional, and physical development. 
• Prepare teaching materials and classroom resources. 
• Assess and monitor children's progress. 

2. Classroom Management

• Maintain a safe, clean, and organized classroom environment. 
• Establish positive classroom routines and behavior expectations. 
• Ensure children's health, safety, and well-being at all times. 

3. Child Development and Observation

• Observe and document children's development and learning progress. 
• Identify children's strengths and areas requiring additional support. 
• Prepare progress reports and developmental records. 

4. Parent Communication

• Maintain regular communication with parents regarding children's progress. 
• Attend parent-teacher meetings and school events. 
• Address parent inquiries professionally. 

5. Administrative Duties

• Complete lesson plans, attendance records, and required documentation. 
• Assist in organizing school events, celebrations, and activities. 
• Participate in staff meetings and training programs. 

6. Team Collaboration

• Work closely with fellow teachers and management. 
• Support school initiatives and maintain professional standards. 
• Assist with centre operations when required. 

Requirements:

• Diploma or Degree in Early Childhood Education or related field. 
• Relevant teaching experience in preschool or early childhood education. 
• Passion for working with young children. 
• Good communication and interpersonal skills. 
• Ability to work collaboratively within a team.
