Job Description

About the Role

We’re looking for a hands-on HRDC expert who can own everything related to HRDC — from program approvals and claims to compliance and funding strategy.

You’ll work directly with founders, trainers, and the sales team to turn training into funded, scalable programs.

If you understand HRDC inside-out and can move fast in a startup environment — this role is for you.

Key Responsibilities

  • Sales & Business Development: Drive the sales of corporate training programs by identifying prospect needs and matching them with high-impact learning solutions.
  • Grant Management Expertise: Act as the subject matter expert on HRDC Levy regulations, Perkeso (SOCSO) schemes, and other available government grants (e.g., MDEC, ESG initiatives).
  • Portal Mastery: Manage the end-to-end process within the e-TRiS portal, including grant applications, claims, and employer account management.
  • Strategic Advisory: Consult with HR departments to strategize their annual training calendar based on their available levy balance and eligibility for public grants.
  • Stakeholder Liaison: Maintain strong relationships with HRDC officers and other government bodies to stay ahead of policy changes and new funding opportunities.
  • Operations & Documentation: Ensure all training documentation complies with HRDC audit requirements to guarantee 100% claim approval rates for clients.

Startup Reality Check (Honest Section)

  • • Things move fast & processes evolve
  • • You’ll build systems — not just follow SOPs
  • • Direct exposure to leadership & strategy
  • • Opportunity to shape national-level funded programs

  • Portal Proficiency: Expert-level navigation of the e-TRiS HRDC Portal is mandatory.
  • Education: Candidate must possess at least a Diploma or Bachelor’s Degree in Business, HR, Marketing, or a related field.
  • Tech Savviness: Highly proficient in CRM tools, Microsoft Office (especially Excel for data tracking), and virtual meeting platforms.
  • Communication: Excellent negotiation and presentation skills, with the ability to simplify complex regulatory jargon for clients.
  • Experience working in training providers / L&D / consulting firms
  • Able to work independently in a fast-paced startup environment
  • Strong documentation & stakeholder management skills
  • Bonus: HRDC Trainer / Assessor / Accreditation experience
