Job Description

  •  This role focuses on fostering business growth by uncovering new opportunities, establishing and nurturing client relationships, and crafting strategic initiatives to enhance the organisation's market presence. A proactive results-oriented professional with a solid grasp of waste management services market trends and client requirements is essential for this position.
  • Revenue Generation
    • Identify new business development opportunities by following up on leads and researching potential clients.
    • Create new business prospects by engaging with potential clients to assess their needs and present suitable solutions.
    • Utilise cold calls, emails, and other outreach methods to connect with prospective clients.
    • Respond to client inquiries regarding company services via phone or email.
    • Draft and present business proposals and pitches to prospective clients.
    • Conduct market research by investigating leads analyzing accounts and creating targeted lists.
    • Negotiate pricing and contracts to successfully close deals.
    • Develop specification documents including technical specifications diagrams bills of quantities schedules quotations and pre-quotes.
    • Participate in industry events and engage in networking opportunities.
    • Possess a thorough understanding of company services and overall business positioning.
    • Manage multiple client accounts simultaneously.
  • Client Interaction
    • Engage with clients to comprehend their needs and propose solutions to address their challenges.
    • Manage complaints and navigate the negotiation process.
    • Follow up with prospects multiple times during the sales process to ensure their needs are being fulfilled.
    • Sustain current business relationships through consistent client follow-up.
    • Optimize the use of the client relationship management system (ZOHO CRM) by ensuring data entry and ongoing updates on client status.
    • Coordinate with other teams and colleagues to align offerings with client requirements.
    • Possess the enthusiasm and motivation to manage several accounts while identifying new opportunities.
  • Marketing Assistance
    • Communicate with third-party vendors to develop related marketing tools and materials.
    • Continuously create and review marketing materials to attract high-quality leads.
    • Contribute to ongoing planning and budgeting processes.
    • Assist in the creation of marketing collateral including written video audio and social media content.
    • Conduct introductory software demonstrations and enhanced presentations once trained.
    • Provide support for trade shows.
  • Reporting
    • Prepare any required reports for management and clients.
    • Generate internal reports as requested by heads of departments.
  • Meeting Department KPIs
    • Achieve and exceed sales targets and revenue goals set by management.
    • Regularly provide updates on KPI progress to the head of department and adjust strategies as necessary to meet targets.
  • Additional Responsibilities
    • Assist the team with various responsibilities as needed.
    • Collaborate with cross-functional teams including marketing sales and operations to ensure business development efforts align with the overall business strategy.
    • Maintain a safe and environmentally compliant workspace and adhere to applicable regulatory laws and requirements.
    • Participate in the documentation and implementation of the Integrated Management System (ISMS) Quality Management System (QMS) Environmental Management System (EMS) and Occupational Health and Safety Management System (OHSMS).

Job Requirements

 Working Experience

  • A minimum of 5 years of experience in Sales or Business Development is required.
  • Experience in Waste Management and Sustainability is a plus.
  • Possessing additional certification in Sales Management is beneficial.
    • Education
  • Bachelor’s Degree in business marketing or a related discipline.
  • Proficient in English, both spoken and written.
    • Skill
  • Strong listening skills and meticulous attention to detail.
  • Effective presentation skills.
  • Ability to manage personal tasks efficiently and prioritize effectively.
  • Exceptional communication and networking abilities.
  • Proficient in computer applications notably MS Office and CRM software.
  • Professional telephone etiquette and networking skills.
