Job Description

 (LOCATION: ELMINA, SUNGAI BULOH)

Responsible for ensuring company compliance with environmental, health, and safety regulations, while promoting a safe and healthy workplace.

• Develop and implement EHS policies and procedures
• Conduct risk assessments and implement control measures
• Ensure compliance with legal and regulatory requirements (e.g., OSHA, DOE, DOSH)
• Investigate incidents, accidents, and near-misses; recommend corrective actions
• Conduct workplace inspections, audits, and safety checks
• Organize EHS training, drills, and awareness programs
• Manage environmental matters including waste and pollution control
• Maintain EHS documentation, reports, and records
• Liaise with authorities for inspections, permits, and compliance
• Monitor workplace safety, emergency preparedness, and security measures
• Ensure safety compliance at workers’ accommodation (if applicable)

Job Requirements

 Requirements & Competencies

• Diploma/Degree in Occupational Safety & Health, Environmental Science, or related field
• 2–3 years of EHS experience
• Knowledge of Malaysian EHS regulations
• SHO/Green Book certification is an advantage
• Familiar with ISO 45001 / ISO 14001 (preferred)

Skills & Attributes

• In-depth understanding of EHS regulations and standards.
• Outstanding documentation and reporting skills.
• Relevant certifications such as OSH-C, Certified Environmental Professional in Scheduled Waste Management (CePSWaM), Certified Environmental Professionals In Bag Filter Operation (CePBFO), Certified Environmental Professionals In Scrubber Operation (CePSO), Certified Environmental Professionals in Sewage Treatment Plant Operation (CePSTPO) or equivalent are preferred.
• Must be able to travel to different locations/job sites and may need to work outside regular business hours in response to emergencies or incidents.
