Job Description

Develop and implement Machine Vision Systems for seamless integration with industrial automation machinery.

Conduct feasibility studies, analyze customer product samples, and prepare detailed evaluation reports.

Select and configure essential hardware components, including cameras, light sources, lighting controllers, and lenses.

Design and optimize vision inspection algorithms, primarily using the HALCON vision library.

Collaborate with other engineering departments to ensure smooth integration of vision systems into automated workflows.

Enhance system performance by fine-tuning vision recipes and conducting Gage R&R studies for customer site buyoffs.

Diagnose and resolve vision-related issues based on data analysis and customer feedback.

Present technical insights to stakeholders and clients through reports and presentations.

Stay ahead of industry trends, keeping up with the latest advancements in computer vision and machine learning technologies.

Document all project activities including system designs, test results, and troubleshooting records.

Job Requirements

Candidate must possess at least a Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Mechatronic Engineering, Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, Robotics, or a related field.

At least 3 years of experience in a computer vision or image processing role for Senior position.

Candidates with less than 3 years of experience and has strong foundation in computer vision concepts are welcome to apply.

Proficiency in HALCON vision library is highly preferred.

Knowledgeable in Cognex or Keyence vision system is an added advantage.

Experience with machine learning frameworks such as Detectron, TensorFlow, and PyTorch is a plus.

Programming skills in C#, C++, LabVIEW and Python are a plus.

Self-motivated and able to work independently and within team environments.

Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills.

Strong written and verbal communication skills.

Ability to work in a fast-paced, multidisciplinary team environment.

Willingness to travel locally or internationally as needed for project support.
