Job Description

• Develop and launch of new products from concept through commercial production.
• To define R&D strategies and organize project portfolio.
• Manage R&D projects and perform post launch follow-up when required.
• Continuous improvement of existing products’ performances.
• Perform technical, scientific, regulatory and competition intelligence monitoring.
• Support production in process implementation and work together for continuous and industrial scale up.
• Plan and conduct the required physical and chemical tests and analyses for product development and improvement.
• Identify, evaluate and source suitable raw materials from qualified suppliers.
• Establish product specifications and production procedures, and prepare technical documents such as TDS and MSDS.
• Oversee pilot runs and initial production batches to ensure products meet the required specifications.
• Responsible for investigation when abnormal occur in process or product and provide technical advice and support in product / process improvement.
• Support the Sales and Marketing teams with product samples and technical information.
• Collaborate closely with Sales, Purchasing, Operations, Marketing and other relevant departments to support successful product development and commercialisation.

Job Requirements

• Bachelor’s Degree in Chemistry or a related discipline.
• At least 2 years of relevant experience in research and development, product development or a similar function.
• Hands-on, creative and practical approach to product development and problem-solving.
• Able to read and interpret technical literature in English and Mandarin.
• Knowledge of manufacturing processes, scale-up and production procedures is an added advantage.
• Strong analytical, innovation, problem-solving and organisational skills.
• Proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel and Power Point.
