Key Responsibilities

• Develop cost-effective procurement strategies for purchasing materials required by the business
• Maintain strong relationships with existing suppliers and continuously source for new vendors
• Evaluate purchasing activities to improve cost efficiency, product quality, and delivery timelines
• Coordinate with internal departments to ensure smooth flow of goods and services for operations
• Conduct cost analysis and identify opportunities for cost reduction and process improvement
• Develop and implement risk management procedures to mitigate supply disruptions or shortages
• Support or supervise procurement activities and coordinate with cross-functional teams when required
• Work closely with the legal or management team to ensure supplier contracts and terms are favourable

Job Requirements

Education

• Diploma, Bachelor’s degree in Engineering
• Supply Chain Management
• Purchasing / Procurement
• Logistics or Operations Management
• Equivalent professional qualification may also be accepted.

Work Experience

1 – 3 years of experience in: 

• Procurement
• Purchasing
• Supply Chain

Required Skills

• Negotiation and supplier sourcing skills
• Vendor relationship management
• Analytical and cost evaluation ability
• Good communication skills (English; Malay/Chinese sometimes preferred)
• Ability to work independently and meet deadlines.
