Job Description

The Finance Assistant Manager / Finance Manager will manage the company’s core finance activities, including accounting, reporting, tax compliance, transfer pricing, budgeting, cash flow planning, and financial reviews of partners and stakeholders.

Responsibilities:

  • Manage accounting and bookkeeping activities, including transaction recording, reconciliations, payments, and maintenance of accurate financial records.
  • Lead month-end and year-end closing, including preparation and review of management accounts, financial statements, schedules, budgets, and forecasts.
  • Prepare and improve internal management reports and external reports for statutory, regulatory, investor, board, audit, tax, and other stakeholder requirements.
  • Coordinate external audits, statutory financial statements, tax matters, and group consolidation where required.
  • Manage tax compliance, including timely submissions and coordination with tax advisors on corporate tax, withholding tax, SST, and other relevant tax matters.
  • Manage transfer pricing matters, including documentation, related-party transactions, management fee charge-outs, and intercompany arrangements.
  • Support budget rollout, forecasting, cash flow planning, and working capital management.
  • Work with senior management on long-term financial projections and budgeting strategies aligned with company goals.
  • Conduct financial assessments of partners, collaborators, vendors, affiliates, and other counterparties.
  • Support funding or grant applications and related documentation where required.
  • Work with the technology team on finance process automation, system migration, and efficiency improvements.
  • Support other finance, administrative, and business requirements as needed in a fast-scaling environment.

Job Requirements

 Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field; ACCA, CPA, ICAEW, or equivalent is preferred.
  • Minimum 4–6 years of experience in accounting, financial reporting, finance operations, or audit; fintech, remittance, startup, or regulated financial services experience is a plus.
  • Hands-on experience in full-set accounts, bookkeeping, reconciliations, month-end/year-end closing, and financial reporting.
  • Good knowledge of tax compliance, statutory reporting, audit processes, financial reporting standards, and transfer pricing requirements.
  • Experience in budgeting, forecasting, cash flow planning, working capital management, and financial performance monitoring.
  • Able to support financial assessments or due diligence reviews of partners, collaborators, vendors, or other counterparties.
  • Strong understanding of end-to-end finance operations, reporting, compliance, controls, and process improvement.
  • Strong communication, stakeholder management, problem-solving, and analytical skills.
  • Proactive, accountable, detail-oriented, resourceful, and able to manage multiple priorities with minimal supervision.
  • Very comfortable using Excel; exposure to various AI tools and automation is an added advantage.
  • A collaborative team player who works well with colleagues across departments, senior management, and external stakeholders.
