Job Description

We are seeking a highly motivated and skilled Test Automation Engineer to join our team. This role will be crucial in building and maintaining our automated test framework and developing automated test scripts for our products. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in software testing principles, automation frameworks, and programming.

Responsibilities:

  • Design, develop, and maintain robust and scalable automated test frameworks using industry-standard tools and technologies (e.g., Selenium, Appium, Robot Framework, etc.).

  • Develop automated test scripts for various testing levels (unit, integration, system, regression) based on user stories, requirements, and design specifications.

  • Execute automated test suites, analyze test results, and report defects with detailed information.

  • Collaborate with developers and other stakeholders to understand product functionality and identify testable areas.

  • Contribute to the continuous improvement of the automation framework and testing processes.

  • Integrate automated tests into the CI/CD pipeline.

  • Maintain and update test scripts as product features evolve.

  • Participate in code reviews and provide feedback on automation code.

  • Document automation processes and best practices.

  • Mentor junior team members on automation best practices (as the team grows).

Basic Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field.

  • 3+ years of experience in software testing with a focus on test automation. 

  • Proficient in at least one programming language (e.g., Python, Java, C#, JavaScript).

  • Hands-on experience with test automation frameworks (e.g., Selenium, Appium, Robot Framework, JUnit, TestNG).

  • Experience with CI/CD tools (e.g., Jenkins, GitLab CI, Azure DevOps).

  • Strong understanding of software testing methodologies and principles.

  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.

  • Strong communication and collaboration skills.

  • Experience with version control systems (e.g., Git).

Bonus Qualifications:

  • Experience testing embedded systems or hardware products.  

  • Experience with API testing tools (e.g., Postman, REST Assured).

  • Experience with performance testing tools (e.g., JMeter, LoadRunner).
