Job Description

Job Summary:

  • The Coffee Technician is responsible for the preventive maintenance, and repair of coffee machines and related equipment across all store locations. This role ensures all coffee units are functioning optimally to support store operations and enhance customer experience.

Key Responsbilities:

  • Perform regular inspections and servicing of coffee machines to prevent breakdowns.
  • Diagnose and repair mechanical or electrical issues in coffee machines.
  • Provide training to store staff on the proper use and basic maintenance of coffee machines.
  • Maintain logs of service visits, repairs, and parts usage. Report major issues to supervisors.
  • Follow all safety protocols and ensure machines comply with health and safety regulations.
  • Respond to emergency coffee machine issues and resolve them in a timely manner.


Job Requirements

Required Skills
  • Proven coffee machine experience (residential, commercial, or industrial).
  • Min of 3 years of experience in equipment maintenance, preferably coffee machines or food service appliances.
  • Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to work independently or as part of a team.
  • Ability to lift up to 30kgs and work in a physically active environment.
Qualifications
  • SPM, diploma or equivalent.
  • Valid electrician's license (or equivalent certification).
  • Familiarity with popular commercial coffee machines (e.g.,, Franke, WMF).
  • Minimum 5 years of experience in electrical maintenance, ideally in a commercial or retail setting.
  • Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation (for fieldwork). B2 or D
Work Environment
  • CU Mart, Mynews Mart, Maru Coffee store outlets.

  • Ability to work in tight or challenging spaces and environment
