Job Description

Strategy

  1. Manage portfolio assigned and increasing profitability/revenue
  2. Liaise with vendors for funded promo program, merchant commission scheme, new products/features, etc
  3. Identify bottlenecks and potential issues related to operations and the content management process, and deliver solutions to these issues
  4. Evaluate strategic and partnership opportunities, performing a broad range of quantitative and qualitative analyses
  5. Analyzing data and develop initiatives to increase revenues/profitability on portfolio and make decisions that builds strong operational performance
  6. Work across functions to tailor specific needs (e.g. customized reporting, marketing support, integrations)
  7. Deliver business improvement projects to create value for both company and vendors
  8. Drive operational excellence by working with the vendors and operations tea
  9. To form a team to support and sustain business expansion on this platform

Operations

  1. To develop the innovation and plan the sales vs target, recovery of sales on any shortfalls and mitigation plan.
  2. To conduct range reviews and undertaking continuous improvement of the product offering through platform available.
  3. To keep abreast of the current market trends, customer requirements and competitor activities to identify market opportunities
  4. To create new item code for every NPD and maintain the necessary master file and system updates for ISF items
  5. To visit stores consistently and perform market research on market trends and competitor analysis.
  6. To create effective relationships with outlet staff through regular touch points.
  7. To ensure the CU and myNEWS brand image are upheld through every planning and execution.
  8. Any other ad hoc tasks assigned by Superior or Management


Job Requirements

  1. Possess a recognized Bachelor’s Degree in any field or a Diploma in Business/ Management or equivalent
  2. Minimum 1-3 years or experience in sales, business development, partnerships or equivalent role
  3. Experience in F&B industry is a plus
  4. Excellent written and spoken communication skills in both English and Bahasa Malaysia. Ability to speak in other dialects such as Mandarin is an added advantage.
  5. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to identify and provide comprehensive solutions for varying customer needs
  6. Ability to fuse business, strategy, finance and legal concepts to lead complex, multi-faceted deals
  7. Demonstrated ability to work effectively across internal and external organizations
  8. Have a competitive edge and thrive in a team environment
  9. Be very organized and communicate well
  10. You must be a self-starter as we'll look for you to manage your own time and priorities here
  11. Energetic, enthusiastic and calm even in a dynamic and fast paced environment
  12. A highly independent and individual with excellent team-working skills
