Duties & Responsibilities

  • Create standardized operating procedures (SOPs) for food safety and quality management.

  • Conduct regular audits and inspections of store facilities and focus on ensuring food safety & quality standards and identifying areas for improvement.

  • Maintain a robust documentation system for all food quality and safety-related activities.

  • Responsible for examining food products for quality and safety.

  • Conduct supplier audits to ensure that they meet food safety and quality standards.

  • Continuously assess and update food safety and quality procedures to ensure they align with the latest industry best practices and regulatory requirement

  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

  • Create, review, and update Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) for quality assurance processes to ensure compliance with regulatory and company standards.

  • Assist in preparing for internal and external audits by ensuring all necessary documentation is complete and accessible.

  • Implement corrective actions and preventive measures to mitigate food quality and safety concerns.


Job Requirements

Job Requirements

  • A bachelor's degree in Food Science, Food Safety, Food Technology or a related field is often required.

  • Previous experience in food safety and quality assurance is typically required. This may include experience in auditing, quality assurance, quality control or food production.

  • Experience specifically in the convenience store industry or similar retail food environments can be a plus.

  • Familiarity with international food safety standards like HACCP and ISO 22000 is beneficial.

  • Proficiency in auditing techniques including conducting on-site inspections, reviewing documentation, and assessing compliance with food safety and quality standards.

  • Keen attention to detail is crucial to identify potential food safety and quality issues.

  • Ability to identify issues and develop solutions to ensure compliance with food safety and quality standards.

  • Ability to work collaboratively with store management and staff to promote a culture of food safety and quality.

  • Willingness to travel to different convenience store locations for audits.

  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

  • Minimum of 2-3 years of experience in quality assurance within the food industry.
