Job Description

Working Opportunities in Vietnam: Join a Global Leader in Audio Technology

We are a growing team dedicated to ensuring our products meet the highest standards of reliability. In this role, you will be the lead problem solver when things don't go as planned. You are the bridge between a faulty product and a satisfied customer, ensuring every device that leaves our facility works perfectly.

As a Product Repair / Failure Analysis (FA) Engineer, you will dive deep into the "why" behind hardware failures. This isn't just about fixing parts; it is about investigating root causes and providing feedback to our design and production teams. You will get hands-on experience with advanced diagnostic tools and have a direct say in improving our future product designs.

This is a great opportunity if you enjoy technical detective work. You will sharpen your skills in circuitry, high-precision soldering, and data analysis while gaining exposure to the full product lifecycle from manufacturing to after-sales support.

Key Responsibilities

Technical Diagnosis and Troubleshooting

  • Conduct Root Cause Analysis (RCA) on faulty units
    • You will study schematics and layout diagrams to trace signal flows.
    • This helps you pinpoint exactly where a circuit is failing so that we don't waste time on guesswork.
  • Operate advanced diagnostic equipment
    • You will use tools like oscilloscopes, multimeters, and logic analyzers.
    • Using these tools allows you to see "invisible" electronic behavior and find hidden defects.
  • Perform validation testing
    • You will run A-B swap tests to confirm if issues stem from the PCBA, specific components, or firmware.
    • This ensures your repair strategy is accurate before you start the physical work.

Product Repair and Process Improvement

  • Perform high-precision rework and soldering
    • You will replace tiny components (like 0201/01005 packages) or BGA chips.
    • Mastering this skill ensures we can recover expensive hardware rather than scrapping it.
  • Provide feedback for design changes
    • You will track recurring failure modes and report them to the R&D or Process teams.
    • By doing this, you help trigger Engineering Change Orders (ECO) to stop the same mistake from happening again.

Customer Return Analysis (RMA)

  • Validate customer-returned products
    • You will determine if a failure is due to a manufacturing defect or external damage.
    • This protects the company’s reputation and ensures fair warranty claims for customers.
  • Generate Failure Analysis (FA) reports
    • You will write clear summaries explaining why a product failed.
    • These reports help our clients and internal teams understand technical issues in simple terms.

Job Requirements

Job Requirements

  • Qualification: A Diploma or Degree in Electrical, Electronic, or Mechatronics Engineering.
  • Experience: Previous experience in electronics repair, PCBA manufacturing, or a similar technical role is preferred, but we are open to fresh graduates with strong final year projects.
  • Bilingual Communication: Strong command of English and Mandarin (written and verbal). You will act as a key liaison, bridging communication between our reporting lines and global vendor network.
  • Knowledge: Ability to read circuit schematics and identify electronic components.
  • Qualities: A patient, "detective" mindset with a strong attention to detail.
  • Skills: Practical skills in soldering and the ability to use basic lab equipment like multimeters and oscilloscopes.

Why This Opportunity Is For You

  • Master the "How": You won't just follow a manual; you will learn how electronics actually work (and why they fail) at a deep level.
  • High-Value Skills: Gain hands-on experience with specialized tools and high-precision soldering that are in high demand across the electronics industry.
  • Visible Impact: Your reports directly influence how our R&D team designs the next generation of products.
  • Career Growth: Move beyond basic troubleshooting into specialized Failure Analysis or Quality Engineering roles as you grow with us.
  • Problem-Solving Culture: Work in an environment where your technical curiosity is encouraged and your solutions save the company real costs.
