Working Opportunities in Vietnam: Join a Global Leader in Audio Technology

We are a growing team in Malaysia looking for a sharp, detail oriented Supplier Quality Engineer to help us build better products. Quality starts with the right partners, and in this role, you are the bridge between our high standards and our global suppliers.

You will be the key person ensuring that every component coming into our facility is up to mark. This is not just about ticking boxes; it is about building strong relationships with suppliers and helping them improve their own processes.

If you enjoy technical problem solving and want to see how top tier electronics are manufactured from the ground up, this role offers incredible exposure to the full supply chain and manufacturing lifecycle.

Key Responsibilities

Supplier Onboarding and Audits

  • Evaluate and audit new suppliers
    • You will conduct on site audits to check their production lines and quality systems.
    • This ensures we only partner with suppliers who meet international standards like ISO 9001 or IATF 16949.
  • Build the Approved Vendor List (AVL)
    • You will help decide which suppliers make the cut.
    • This gives you a direct hand in shaping our long term supply chain strategy.

Quality Control and Material Standards

  • Set the bar for incoming materials
    • You will create Inspection Standards (SIP/IQC) for all incoming parts.
    • This ensures our inspection team knows exactly what to look for to prevent defects.
  • Manage PCBA component quality
    • You will troubleshoot issues with PCBs, ICs, and passive components.
    • This helps you become an expert in electronic component failure analysis.

Issue Resolution and Improvement

  • Lead the Supplier Corrective Action (SCAR) process
    • When a part fails on our line, you will hold the supplier accountable.
    • This ensures we don't just fix symptoms but solve the actual root cause.
  • Drive 8D and 5 Why analysis
    • You will guide suppliers through structured problem solving.
    • This helps you develop a consultant mindset by coaching suppliers to perform better.

Performance and Change Management

  • Monitor supplier health via Scorecards
    • You will rank suppliers based on yield, delivery, and service.
    • This gives you the data needed to push for continuous improvements in their factory.
  • Review Engineering Changes (PCN/ECN)
    • You will assess how a supplier's process change might affect our product.
    • This protects our final customers from unexpected quality issues.
