What you'll be doing

1. Welcoming and seating guests promptly and courteously, ensuring they feel valued from the moment they arrive
2. Taking food and beverage orders accurately and communicating them clearly to the kitchen and bar staff
3. Serving food and drinks with professionalism, ensuring correct items are delivered to the correct guests
4. Providing knowledgeable recommendations about menu items, specials, and beverage pairings
5. Checking in regularly with guests to ensure their satisfaction and addressing any concerns promptly and professionally
6. Clearing tables efficiently and maintaining cleanliness and organisation throughout the dining area
7. Processing payments and managing the point-of-sale system accurately
8. Supporting the team during busy service periods and assisting colleagues as needed
9. Maintaining awareness of food allergies, dietary requirements, and special requests
10. Upholding restaurant policies and health and safety standards at all times

Job Requirements

What we're looking for

1. Proven experience working as a waiter in a busy restaurant or hospitality establishment
2. Excellent customer service skills with a genuine passion for delivering outstanding guest experiences
3. Strong communication and interpersonal abilities, with the ability to remain calm and professional under pressure
4. Knowledge of food and beverage service standards and etiquette
5. Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment whilst maintaining attention to detail
6. Reliability, punctuality, and a strong work ethic
7. Flexibility to work shifts, including evenings, weekends, and public holidays as required
8. Physical ability to stand for extended periods and carry trays and dishes safely
9. A positive, team-oriented attitude and willingness to support colleagues
10. Fluency in English is essential; additional languages are advantageous
