Job Description

  • Ensuring day-to-day transactions such as sales revenue, QR & credit card transactions, accounts payable, accounts receivable, and payroll are recorded properly. 
  • Performing timely and accurate month-end journal entries and balance sheet reconciliations (e.g., net assets, revenue, expenses, payroll allocations, etc.), ensuring that accounting schedules are updated and accurate.
  • Ensuring proper revenue and expense recognition.
  • Ensuring adherence to all relevant financial regulations, laws, and accounting standards. 
  • Developing and managing budgets, forecasting financial performance, and analyzing financial data to identify trends and variances. 
  • Performing fiscal year-end close activities and assisting with activities and requirements of external auditors.
  • Supervising and mentoring accounting staff, providing guidance and training on financial policies and procedures. 
  • Preparing accurate and timely financial reports for management, stakeholders, and regulatory bodies. 
  • Implementing and maintaining effective internal controls to safeguard company assets and ensure data accuracy. 
  • Coordinating and facilitating both internal and external audits. 
  • Other duties as assigned to meet organizational requirements.

Job Requirements

  • Minimum 5 years’ experience in F&B accounting
  • Strong Accounting Knowledge: Thorough understanding of generally accepted accounting principles (GAAP) and financial reporting standards. 
  • Ability to analyze financial data, identify trends, and provide insightful recommendations
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills for presenting financial information and collaborating with various stakeholders. 
  • Experience in supervising and mentoring a team, fostering a positive and productive work environment. 
  • Ability to identify and resolve financial issues effectively. 
  • Meticulous attention to detail to ensure accuracy in financial record-keeping and reporting. 
  • Experience with accounting software and other relevant tools. 
  • A degree in finance, accounting; accounting qualification e.g., ACCA, CPA, or a related field preferred
