Job Description

As an Education Intern, you will support a vibrant academic team in delivering high-quality instruction across two key departments. You will assist in teaching English First Language using the Cambridge curriculum and support IGCSE Mandarin students, specifically focusing on Year 11 exam preparation during the March–April period. This role offers a unique opportunity to develop pedagogical skills in a student-centered, culturally responsive environment.

Key Responsibilities

• Instructional Support: Assist in delivering engaging English and Mandarin lessons aligned with Cambridge and IGCSE syllabi.
  
• Exam Preparation: Provide revision strategies, practice exercises, and exam techniques for Year 11 IGCSE Mandarin students.
  
• Student Development: Foster skills in reading, writing, speaking, and critical thinking across both languages.
  
• Resource Design: Help create creative lesson plans, teaching materials, and assessments to meet diverse learning needs.
  
• Progress Monitoring: Assist in tracking student progress and providing constructive feedback to students and parents.
  
• School Integration: Collaborate on cross-curricular projects and participate in school events.

Internship Requirements

• Educational Background: Pursuing or holding a degree in English, Mandarin, Education, or a related field.
• Language Proficiency: Strong command of spoken and written English and relevant qualification/fluency in Mandarin.
• Curriculum Knowledge: Familiarity with, or a strong interest in, the Cambridge and IGCSE curriculum frameworks.
• Soft Skills: Strong classroom management, communication skills, and the ability to work effectively in a short-term, high-intensity teaching period.
