Job Description

Responsibilities

  • Ensure compliance with government and university requirements, policies, and business rules.
  • Monitor MOHE, MQA, and KDN regulations and ensure compliance.
  • Liaise with government agencies for licenses, permits, approvals, and accreditations.
  • Collaborate with Deans and Heads of Departments for regulatory compliance and documentation.
  • Ensure approval and accreditation of academic programmes by MOHE and MQA.
  • Coordinate MQA accreditation processes, including assessment visits.
  • Manage quality assurance processes and provide related advice and support.
  • Develop and implement academic and non-academic standards, policies, and procedures.
  • Conduct periodic internal audits and coordinate external performance audits.
  • Maintain academic data, programme standards, and a database of regulatory and rating requirements.
  • Manage benchmarking activities and academic quality performance indicators.
  • Maintain records of MOUs with partner universities.
  • Provide leadership and guidance to staff for compliance with education quality assurance.
  • Prepare and provide regular reports to senior management.

 

Requirements

  • A Bachelor’s or Master’s degree with at least 3 years relevant experience in a an University environment, especially in respect of government and university approvals and accreditation.
  • Possess a good knowledge in Malaysian government regulations pertaining to Private.
  • Higher Education Institutions Act and Malaysian Qualifications Framework, including curriculum design, assessment, programme monitoring and review etc.
  • Highly developed conceptual, analytical and problem-solving skills including the ability to obtain and interpret information and make specific recommendations based on sound judgements.
  • Demonstrated high level management and planning skills.
  • Excellent written, oral and interpersonal communication skills in both English and Malay, including the ability to prepare clear and concise reports, plans, submissions and complex correspondence.
  • Demonstrate effective and influencing interpersonal, written and oral communication skills including the ability to liaise, negotiate and influence at all level and to deal with internal and external parties.
  • Exhibit a highly professional, team work approach in working closely and collaboratively with other staff members in the department, management and academic staff.
  • Proficient computer literacy skills in Microsoft Office applications.
