Job Description

 A Quality Surveyor's job is to manage project costs and contracts, ensuring construction projects stay within budget while adhering to quality standards. Key responsibilities include preparing cost estimates, procuring subcontractors, negotiating contracts, monitoring progress, preparing financial reports, and liaising with clients and project teams. They use software for cost analysis and project management, and require strong numerical skills, communication, and analytical abilities.
Key Responsibilities   

  • Cost Management
    • Estimating project costs, material quantities, and labor expenses. 
  • Preparing detailed cost analysis reports, budgets, and financial projections. 
  • Conducting cost value reconciliation (CVR) for project monitoring. 
  • Contract & Procurement
  • Preparing tender documents and legal contracts. 
  • Hiring and managing subcontractors and suppliers within the project budget. 
  • Negotiating labour contracts and managing supplier accounts. 
  • Project Monitoring & Reporting
  • Liaising with site managers, engineers, and clients to ensure projects align with budgets and timelines. 
  • Monitoring construction progress, safety practices, and material needs. 
  • Preparing regular reports on project costs and progress for clients and stakeholders. 
  • Risk Assessment
  • Identifying and mitigating financial risks. 
  • Preparing risk assessments and method statements (RAMS) for projects. 

 Essential Skills   

  • Technical Skills
    • Proficiency in cost estimating and using surveying software, including BIM software and Microsoft Excel
  • Strong understanding of construction principles and engineering. 
  • Analytical Skills
  • Strong mathematical, numerical, and data analysis skills. 
  • Creative, analytical thinking, and problem-solving abilities. 
  • Communication & Interpersonal Skills
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills. 
  • Strong relationship-building and teamwork capabilities. 
  • Commercial awareness and negotiation skills. 

Job Requirements

 

Job Requirements:

  • At least a Diploma, Advanced/Higher/Graduate Diploma, Bachelor's Degree, Post Graduate Diploma, Professional Degree, Quantity Survey or equivalent.
  • Familiar with contract administration and contractual methods. 
  • Strong organizational and time-management skills
  • Excellent attention to detail and numerical accuracy.
  • Chinese & Indian Candidate most preferred
