Overview

We are seeking a detail-oriented Engineering Intern to support the development of structured asset data through engineering document review and template population.

This role involves extracting asset information from technical documents such as P&IDs, datasheets, and drawings, and organizing the data into standardized templates to support asset management activities.

Key Responsibilities

• Review and interpret P&IDs and engineering drawings 
• Extract asset information (equipment tags, instruments, line numbers, etc.) 
• Populate and maintain asset management templates 
• Perform data validation and quality checks 
• Support classification and structuring of asset data 
• Assist in documenting data standards and guidelines

Job Requirements

Education

• Currently pursuing a degree in: 
• Mechanical Engineering 
• Chemical Engineering 
• Electrical / Instrumentation Engineering 
• or related disciplines 

Technical Competencies

• Ability to read and understand P&IDs and engineering drawings 
• Basic knowledge of industrial equipment (e.g., pumps, valves, instruments) 
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel (data entry, structured templates) 
• Strong attention to detail and data accuracy 

Soft Skills

• Analytical and structured thinking 
• Good communication skills 
• Ability to work independently and manage tasks effectively 
• Willingness to learn and handle detailed, repetitive work 

Preferred (Optional)

• Exposure to asset management concepts or maintenance engineering 
• Familiarity with industry standards (e.g., ISO 14224) 
• Prior internship or coursework related to process plants or industrial systems
