About The Role

Nolan Interior is a bootstrapped DTC brand that has generated over $70M in revenue since 2022 selling sofa covers and pet-friendly home goods to US customers. We run a high-velocity, data-driven creative system where editing work directly impacts our ability to scale ad spend profitably.

As our Video Editor, you’ll be embedded in the creative engine that fuels our growth. You’ll work alongside our creative strategists and media buyers to produce 15–25 direct-response ads per week across formats: AI avatars, UGC, b-roll + voiceover, testimonials, and more. Every ad you edit gets tested against real performance data. If it doesn’t perform, it dies. If it wins, it scales to six figures in spend. Your job is to make winners.

This isn’t brand work. This isn’t YouTube content. This is performance creative—where your editorial choices around pacing, hooks, cuts, and transitions directly impact CTR, watch time, and ROAS. You’ll have direct access to performance data so you always know what’s scaling and what’s not.

What You’ll Do

High-Volume Ad Production

  • Edit 10–25 direct-response ads weekly across formats: AI avatars, UGC, b-roll + voiceover, testimonials
  • Work from creative briefs and scripts provided by our strategists to execute concepts rapidly
  • Maintain a constant pipeline of fresh creatives to prevent ad fatigue and sustain performance

Performance-Driven Editing

  • Edit specifically to amplify the message and drive conversions—not to create “beautiful” content
  • Understand that your editorial choices (pacing, cuts, hooks, transitions) directly impact CTR, watch time, and ROAS
  • Iterate rapidly on winning concepts, testing variations to validate and scale performance

Tools & Research

  • Use the best tools in the industry: ElevenLabs, Higgsfield, HeyGen, VEO, Nano Banana, and more
  • Research winning ads across the market so you have a visual library of what’s performing right now
  • Stay sharp on emerging formats, AI tools, and editing techniques that give us an edge

Collaboration & Iteration

  • Work closely with the creative strategist and CMO daily to receive feedback and stay updated on learnings (winners and losers)
  • Implement feedback quickly—often same-day—to capitalize on winning angles before they fatigue
  • Analyze winning vs. losing ads to refine your editorial instincts and improve hit rate

Process & Systems

  • Follow and help refine SOPs for repeatable editing workflows
  • Document your editorial decisions and learnings to contribute to the team’s knowledge base
  • Maintain organized file structures and version control for rapid iteration

Job Requirements

About You

  • 1+ year editing direct-response ads for e-commerce or DTC brands (social media ads specifically—not brand videos or YouTube content)
  • Proficient in Adobe Premiere Pro and CapCut—you should be fast and fluent in both
  • Output-focused mindset—you understand that 10 ads at 80% quality beat 2 ads at 100% quality
  • Pattern recognition—you can watch winning ads and reverse-engineer what editorial choices made them perform
  • Data literacy—you understand CTR, watch time, hook rate, and how your edits impact these metrics
  • Self-starter—you don’t need hand-holding or micromanagement to ship quality work on deadline
  • Coachable—you take feedback without ego and implement it immediately
  • Excellent English—clear written and verbal communication for seamless collaboration
  • Hungry—you’re prepared to go hard, lock in, and put high intent into everything you do

Nice-to-Have (But Not Required)

  • Completed the Ecom Talent editing course
  • Experience working with DTC brands doing $10M+ in annual revenue
  • Familiarity with AI-powered creative tools (ElevenLabs, HeyGen, Higgsfield, VEO, etc.)
  • Experience editing for TikTok Shop or live shopping formats
  • Understanding of Meta Ads Manager and basic media buying concepts

What Success Looks Like in This Role

30 Days

  • Fully onboarded into our creative workflow, tools, SOPs, and file systems
  • Reviewed our top-performing ads and understand what makes them win
  • Delivering 10–15 edited ads per week at quality standard with minimal revisions
  • Built rapport with the creative strategist and CMO through daily communication

60 Days

  • Consistently delivering 15–25 ads per week at 95%+ on-time completion
  • Demonstrating clear pattern recognition—your edits reflect an understanding of what performs
  • Proactively suggesting iterations on winning concepts without being asked
  • Contributing to a 10%+ creative hit rate (ads that validate and scale)

90 Days

  • You’re a core part of the creative engine—strategists trust your instincts and execution
  • Your edits consistently contribute to ads achieving 3%+ CTR and strong ROAS
  • You’ve helped refine at least one SOP or workflow that improved team efficiency
  • You’re actively researching and bringing new ad formats, tools, or techniques to the team
