Procurement Intern
Internship opportunity for students or fresh graduates interested in Procurement, Sourcing, and Supplier Management
This internship offers hands-on exposure to Procurement and Category Management in a dynamic business environment. The intern will support day-to-day procurement activities, supplier and market research, sourcing support, contract administration, and data analysis while learning how Procurement contributes to cost efficiency, supplier performance, risk management, and business value creation.
Job Description
Key Responsibilities:
- Support the Procurement team in daily sourcing and purchasing activities, including supplier follow-up, quotation tracking, purchase order support, and documentation.
- Assist in collecting and organizing supplier, market, category, and internal business information to support category planning and sourcing decisions.
- Support basic data analysis using Excel or other tools to identify spend patterns, savings opportunities, supplier performance trends, and process improvement areas.
- Help prepare sourcing materials such as request-for-quotation summaries, supplier comparison tables, presentation slides, and meeting notes.
- Assist with supplier onboarding, vendor record updates, contract documentation, and follow-up on required compliance documents.
- Support tracking of project actions, risks, issues, and next steps for procurement initiatives and category activities.
- Participate in cross-functional discussions with internal stakeholders to understand business needs and how Procurement supports operational goals.
- Learn and apply basic procurement concepts, including category management, supplier management, negotiation preparation, contract administration, and procurement systems.

Job Requirements
Education and Experience:
- Currently pursuing, or recently completed, a Bachelor’s degree in supply chain management, Procurement, Business Administration, Economics, Finance, Engineering, or a related field.
- Strong interest in building a career in Procurement, Sourcing, Supply Chain, or Vendor Management.
- No prior procurement work experience is required; internship, project, or academic exposure to business, data analysis, supply chain, or purchasing topics will be an advantage.
- Comfortable working with data and preparing simple analysis, reports, and presentations.
- Good communication skills and willingness to collaborate with stakeholders across functions and locations.
- Curious, proactive, detail-oriented, and willing to learn in a fast-paced environment.
- Basic knowledge of Microsoft Office, especially Excel and PowerPoint; experience with procurement or ERP systems is an advantage but not required.
- Able to handle information responsibly and maintain confidentiality when working with supplier and business data.
Languages:
- Good written and spoken English.
- Proficiency in Mandarin or another regional language is an advantage.
